Mini-14 Availability

I want to buy a Mini-14 Tactical but they seem to be sold out pretty much anywhere. There's only 1 website I'm finding right now that have them for sale and its $1649.00 + tax.

If I bought the stocked version + the stock shown in pictures is it pretty much identical to what I want for $300ish less? Is it easy as 1-2-3 to swap parts?

***UPDATE.

These things are like hens teeth to find, everyday they get more and more scarce I imagine due to the gun bans hitting. I was very fortunate to have found one last night after about 6-7 pages of google searches for $1499.00.

I was going to order the standard plastic stock variant but then I fell asleep when the AT-M stock was available on Ruger's website and it sold out. I also prefer the longer barrel with mid-way sight attachment. I also prefer the cleaner look of the offset sling mount. Can't wait to get it in!

Yeah, the video where Ruger shows you how to take it apart for maintenance is like 3 minutes long, super easy.

I like 16" barrel stock version even better. Yes you can easily put on Samson A-TM stock and looks much more balanced than the factory longer 18.5" barrel with folder. But the folding stock is also in short supply.

Yeah, you can do it super easy. The A-TM stock is also interchangeable with the Mini 30.

You need to order in advance, I don't think they're ever really in stock. I placed an order and it took like four months for mine to get sent out

Idk where you are but I'd look around local gun shops. One in my town has a tactical for 900$, last year it was 1100, they don't sell them easy like ARs so you'll save some money that way.

If you're wanting just the folding stock, buy them separate. If you want the GB style barrel (18" with mid-mount front sight), you've got to look and find that specific model. It's made to be a clone of the old GB series and A-Team gun. I hunted down a .300blk rifle and put a folder on it myself.

Auction sites suck, but sometimes you might have to do that if you're not willing to wait. There are also some large online retailers that you can do email notifications with when they get them in stock. That's how I got my Marlin 10mm rifle without paying scalping prices.
