What I found odd looking at the election results was the dropoff in people who voted on VATRE vs the rest of the propositions on the ballot. The average was around 22k votes per prop, but then on VATRE there is about at 2000 vote drop.

Also seeing a voter turnout of only 25% is depressing. 22k out of the 88k registered voters is abysmal.

Not all of Rockwall County is Rockwall ISD. That would account for the drop you’re referencing.

Ah, yeah, that makes sense. In my defense its easy to conflate County & City.

25% is fantastic and has to be one of the highest I'm the metroplex.

well, thats even MORE depressing!

Yeah... voter turnout is usually an issue, unfortunately, which is interesting considering employers are legally required to let you vote.

25 percent is actually great for a non-midterm or presidential year vote. Some neighboring counties didn't even hit 10 percent of their registered voters.

I stood in line for 10 minutes to vote.

I’m unfortunately part of that 75% 😔 with 2 toddlers 24/7 it wasn’t the easiest for me to get to the polls.

Yes we are happy and you are 100 percent correct on hiring uncertified teachers. We are glad with what happened, although this really just makes Rockwall competitive as we still don't have well paid teachers.
