Always include a full list of mods when seeking help

If you are experiencing a conflict or bug which you would like help resolving, then the community will be happy to help. But a video , screenshot or brief description of the problem is insufficient on its own.

You must always include a full list of the mods you are running, and the order they are placed in. This is covered by Rule 7 of the sub.

Providing partial lists or mentioning only the mods which you believe might be to blame very rarely aids resolving the problem. Omitting information may also lead to the wrong conclusion being reached entirely.

If you need help? Please type out your load order in full.

I would say the engines eye adaptation is trying to simulate the transition but panning from the the darker area is causing Skyrim's engine to trigger the brightness and bloom too aggressively with overexposure. Just a theory but definitely try a mod called Disable Eye Adaptation and Bloom where you could try a combination of disabling one or the other or both. Overall that doesn't look bad by any means and LH's Natural Sun and Sunglare will make this more intense but IMO that would be even better. LH's Sun stays in my load order no matter what weather mod I use.

The sun? lol I think you are looking for something to reduce or retexture the sun glare.

There is LH’s Natural Sun and Sunglare as a standalone retexture option.

Other than that, it’s probably just a feature of whatever weather/sky textures you are running. Changing those could help.

U got me, yes that is the sun, but I was looking for the correct terminology of how the brightness just spreads out like crazy and turning an inch just makes it non-existent (this can be repeated over and over as shown). I thought it could be sun glare, eye adaptation, god rays, bloom. But all the mods I’ve tried don’t reduce it and no I’m not looking to retexture the sun, change the overall brightness of the sun, sky or ground. Just the inconsistent lighting if u are looking directly at the sun or an inch away. I think the game seems to be attempting simulating going from looking at a dark place to “being blinded by the sun”. But the fact it can keep happening and how our eyes in the game don’t adjust or get used to it is highly annoying for me and can cause headaches.

Have you tried retexturing the glare? It’s possible it could help soften the look or transition to looking at it.

I get you’re not looking to overhaul everything, it’s just weather affects the look/color/brightness of what’s going on in your sky. You might find it is less intense in another weather mod, depending on what you are using.

This, might help? Disable God Rays [XB1] with it the Sun, will skip the red dwarf phase and go right into a white dwarf phase, bring your cloak.
