Zero Premium Card after 420 pulls, screw you Netmarble!
Now that I think about it, I'm the one that's screwed — the final cry from a desperate man who will probably never spend a dime on this game again.

But.. Why..? 420 pulls equals to 42x675=28350 crystals. I figured after someone did 10 pulls (or 20?) without a single premium card, he'd stop? I think the issue you're trying to cover is your gambling problem, not the low rng of the chest. :(
It's a common issue with anything luck related. Once you are so far invested it's hard to just stop. Not getting desired results would lead to negative outcome so you keep on digging and digging. That's tilt to you.
You get so far into not winning that you think if I keep going I HAVE TO WIN.
I came here to post this.
And it's made worse by the public nature of the community and such a large number of players. Once enough people post publicly about getting them, then people start to feel unlucky for not getting one (as if luck were a tangible thing) and no one wants to feel that they belong to the "unlucky" group.
Also combined with Gambler's Fallacy
If you think you're aiming for a prize with 1% or even 0.5% of getting it, you think you're getting closer to it at every pull. Unfortunately, that's not how it works, and said thought is how gacha games really make their money.
Gambler's fallacy
The gambler's fallacy, also known as the Monte Carlo fallacy or the fallacy of the maturity of chances, is the mistaken belief that, if something happens more frequently than normal during some period, it will happen less frequently in the future, or that, if something happens less frequently than normal during some period, it will happen more frequently in the future (presumably as a means of balancing nature). In situations where what is being observed is truly random (i.e., independent trials of a random process), this belief, though appealing to the human mind, is false. This fallacy can arise in many practical situations, but is most strongly associated with gambling, where such mistakes are common among players.
The use of the term Monte Carlo fallacy originates from the most famous example of this phenomenon, which occurred in a Monte Carlo Casino in 1913.

Should have done 421 pulls. Coulda gotten it.
all those crystals for what, 8% of a fixed stat? I'd never understand the struggle with these premium cards, you can buy a decent deck with normal ones and leave them like that forever
you can buy a decent deck with normal ones
You don't even have to buy them. I have decent cards just from rifts, SL, and BW. On top of that, I'll be getting the 2 premium cards from cinematic battle. Glad I did save those mythic uni tickets from SL and Special Missions that I saw no use for before.
Yeah I mean build. I don't feel the necessity of them, my deck is terrible, yet I can complete everything in the game
Yeah me too. I have the mega uni upgrade and the 1-6 uni upgrade tickets. Used one on Thor. He’s still kinda meh, but a lot better. I think I’ll use the 1-6 on hulk. It provides the biggest improvement, compared to the lokster.
The Chinese government has laws requireing all games to reveal the probability numbers related to any RNG. So players know what they are betting on, there is a huge difference between 0.2% or 20%, not bullshits like "chance increased" which could increase from 0.2% to 0.3%.
But there is no such a law in US, god damn capitalism.
If this game is played in China then can't we locate the numbers.
I think that law applied to the Chinese companies, but I also heard that WoW Chinese version is required to revealed the numbers, not in-game, but in some documents, those numbers, drop rates can be looked up somewhere.
You put money in one of the game's only slot machines and are now mad at the house for winning?
RNG boxes are a scam to exploit players, pure and simple. Instead of making a straight honest transaction where they set a price and the customer picks what they want, they prey off your hopes and dreams then sell you a mystery box that is filled with trash 99.99% of the time.
Somewhere on a luxury gold trimmed diamond encrusted yacht the NetMarble CEO and execs are laughing their asses off while they sip $1000/bottle champagne and snort the purest cocaine off the bosoms of the the finest high priced prostitutes Korea has to offer.
The worst part is that entire games are run off of that same kind of rng, and most of the time it's limited time banners.
I stopped playing all of the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy mobile games because in order to reliably progress you needed limited time rare characters that were damn near impossible to get without spending.
Agreed, 100%. I was an obsessed Fantasica and Final Fantasy Record Keeper player, but I got disillusioned by the stupid RNG. The only reason I'm still playing MFF despite obvious gacha moneygrabs is because I don't need them to play the game modes that I like (the grind, villain siege [don't judge me], world boss, and Shadowlands).
They're probably going to add ways of getting them in the future that doesn't revolve around $.
My condolence, i stop gambling at 5 pulls.
Haaaaaave you met /r/grandorder/ ?
It’s strange to me that in a game that is overall pretty transparent people will dump resources into the few gatcha elements.
I think that maybe we will see a trend with these cinematic battles, where you’re incentivised into ranking up uniforms and buy uniforms at a higher crystal price to unlock the new gears and premium cards over time. I bought the Thor uniform solely for the card as I don’t use the character and his is the first uniform I’ve taken past heroic lol.
I feel for you though and I’ve certainly had similar experiences in previous games I’ve played
I understand your pain man.
Same here...i have dont over 100 pulls for the 10x packs but not even 1 Premium card..... Vip16 here
At least for a limited time the new cards should have been available in a separate chest for purchase from the older cards. I bought 3 10 packs hoping for premium, but at least thinking I could start compiling collection cards, and got an asston of rift cards. I don't expect premium cards to be easy pulls, but how much is too much nm to pull a shitty 2 fixed Stat card in order to bump attack speed 3%?
I feel you, i got carried away also and spent 23k crystals...
i use to play kabams MCOC. this game, the forum posts and the forum comments is starting to become what i tried to get away from.
I did a few pulls myself and stopped after $40 disappeared. The sad part is that it says the premium card chances are increased for a short amount of time. Hate to see the percentage when that's over with.
The actual wording says, "Increased chance to get limited-time items" which would mean, if this isn't another bungled translation, that the cards themselves are only even possible to buy for a short time.
Also, think about this: the "increased chance" - these cards had a 0% chance of appearing in a card chest before they were just added. Now even having a 0.00001% chance to draw one is an "increased chance" to get one from 0. They aren't technically lying, but it's still shady.
Excatly, could be increased from 0.00002% to 0.00003%, fucking scam.
Normally, with gacha games, the scam is that "increased chance" is only related to the subset they belong to.
So basically, let's say you have a character gacha. Each pull gets you a new character. Now, let's say there's an "ultimate rare" tier, and each pull has a 0.5% chance of nabbing a character from this tier. Also, let's say there's 10 characters in this tier, so there's a 10% chance of getting a specific character in this tier if you pull an "ultimate rare" character (which is still a 0.5% chance).
Now, a brand new "ultimate rare" character is introduced. The ads say there is an "increased chance!!!" of pulling them. Now, here's where the slight dishonesty comes in. There is an increased chance of getting that character...if you pull an "ultimate rare". But the chances of pulling an "ultimate rare" is still 0.5%. That is unchanged.
Now, when it comes to the cards, the question is what subset do the premiums belong to. Are they 6 stars (and thus the odds are increased if you pull a 6 star)? Or are they premium, and thus the odds are increased if only you pull a premium (and only the 3 specific cards listed have increased odds...or even all the new ones have increased odds over the old ones...which even though the old one is only GotG, would still be accurate)?
And without the gacha rates being published, it's impossible to tell what the rate increase even is.
You and me both, my friend... I wont spend money on gatcha games, and MFF is becoming one
you really bought 420 chests for getting some of these gatcha cards ?
unbelievable . . .
I sold my house to spend 230 thousand dollars on your game, THAT SHOWS YOU NETMARBLE
Thanks for assuring they keep doing things like this I guess
