Brother. My inlaws are muslim, sure they think differently on some points but so do we. To them, we seem brainwashed. What we do in our family is let eachother be and dont push it where the "other" culture might be uncomfortable. Its not difficult. I cannot physically touch or see the hair of my SILs or nieces over 12. Not how I would prefer to treat them but it doesn't hurt me either to just follow whats important to them and less important to me. I can play with my under 12 nieces (and all nephews) just the same as if they were christian or non-religious. With my BIL's we drink tea instead of a beer and thats just fine too.

Sure group 2 has extremes and this definitely belongs there but I refuse to work for a company that employs group 2. Work culture tends to be toxic, people have massive egos, client relationships are exhausting and wages are usually lower.

I was recently looking for a new job, management seemed awesome and the responsibilities fit my experience, and then in the last round I realized the future colleagues are very much group 2. I quit halfway through the last round of interviews and Im proud of it.

I was just talking about the elections with the 15yo son of a German friend of mine. He was properly raging at the afd and linke. It seems that especially the past few years children and young adults are by far the most susceptible to be sucked into the more extreme holes on the political spectrum so Im proud of him.

• In Spanish, its mostly referred to as a genocide
• In Afrikaans its fairly neuteal (was curious as they pushed the UN to start apartheid/genocide investigations)
• In Hebrew, while clearly supporting the Israeli p.o.v. it still feels pretty objective
• In German, it seems still a nono to report on it as a genocide. Its mentioned but not too much
• In Yiddish, its just Zionist propaganda in hyperdrive

Let me tell y'all something. Im not an EMT responder but I'm in mining. I was surveying the pit during nightshift when we got a triple alarm (e.g. serious incident) and I was the closest by to respond.

400t truck drove over a hilux. Passenger splashed through the cabin and the driver's lower body completely pressed into a car pancake. Immediately had the worst ever urge to vomit and run, but knew I had to keep the guy awake for some 10 min for EMT to arrive. Handed over to EMT, finished my shift with seeing the medevac plane leave for the main hospital in our subcontinent, and spoke to my neighbor (on shift emt who also arrived first after me), and he told me to just fly out and give my wife, parents and dog a big hug.

I was proud I stayed with the guy and thought I was fine, but I caught 0 sleep and had panic attacks from the smallest things. Quit my job within a week.
