That file doesn’t exist for me unfortunately :(

Gray skills are worth about 210 rating on average and gold skills are worth about 515 rating on average, which is more than double. Per skill point, the average gray skill gives about 1.49 rating per skill point, while gold skills give about 1.47, the difference is negligible. Maybe 10 more rating in a run for a considerably worse Uma.

I’d be willing to bet that the overwhelming majority of people who’ve spent more than 250$ don’t regret it. At that price point, it’s because you love the game, the community, or just one of the special “only in SC” things. Lord knows that I don’t regret a penny, even if I don’t really play much right now, just waiting for SQ42.

Make the Idris immobile, or at least disable maneuvering thrusters while charging and firing, no need for a second person. Just say it needs that much power.

BassGould

We don't need a second person to control the railgun, just have it disable maneuvering thrusters during charge and firing. Turn it into a siege weapon, thus giving it a real weakness, a real cost to use.

Plus it would make sense, being the largest ship to be able to enter atmosphere, that it is a massive siege weapon.

BassGould

The problem really lies in the design of the Idris itself. Giving a single player the ability to destroy literally every ship in the game, most in a single click, is both poor design and unfun. There is really no reason to crew an Idris because you are better served having it escorted by other ships to draw fire and protect it, a percy or polaris, even with no crew will help screen torps and fighters, or smaller ships that the Idris can literally carry inside of itself.

Perhaps a solution to the railgun; it makes the ship unable to rotate when being charged and fired, make it more of a siege/surprise weapon to balance it. But as it stands being able to instantly destroy the majority of ships while being effectively unkillable is just unfun.

BassGould

ah, unfortunate. Mine was pretty new but just out of warranty :(

BassGould

Did you figure anything out? Having the exact same issue, no fixes yet.

BassGould

I know this was like 3 months ago but I needed to comment. It’s impossible to lose rank in pure elo systems as the result of a win, that’s simply false. In ELO, a win multiplies your expected increase by 1. You are guaranteed a positive number. Per some rudimentary research glicko and pure Bayesian systems also do not allow you to lose rating from a victory either.

BassGould

Apparently its not down, but I can only access the site if I load it in a non-active tab. Weird stuff.

BassGould

Both websites say it is down, unfortunately, it may have been a regional outage at time of your posting but seems it's now fully down. Or perhaps it remains regional somehow and the down detectors also are regional, not sure, but I cannot access the site and both down detectors confirm the site is down.

Would you happen to know any other place to grab the emulator? Much appreciated!

A bit late but a huge part of the problem is that the guides don’t even matter because of luck. I watched the guides, I’ve spent a few dollars (the daily carat pack and a starter pack) I’ve got incredible A and A+ umas doing 10+ runs a day, and then I show up to each champions meet to lose to a b+ in graded league, and drop a 0% win rate. I’ve seriously never won a single CM race, the endgame content of the game, is completely inaccessible to me due to RNG. Meanwhile my girlfriend grabbed Taurus Silver before she got her first A rank uma. Genuinely what’s the point in playing anymore when I can never play the end game content.

BassGould

Occasionally, I see these old comments about "year of stability," and I never reply to them, but I think it's safe to say they delivered, but late 3.24 was my first time playing outside of free fly, so I am a bit curious as to what veterans might think? Game is infinitely more playable for me than it was in 3.24, and 4.0 was still better than 3.24 for me.

BassGould

You already have them dude, its literally stuff like "has won a graded race and speed b or higher" if you dont have that while farming for CM you're not gonna win CM lol

BassGould

My experience with them on my first dive has been "oh these guys are terrifying, 3 of them killed me instantly" then
"again? really?"
until i had died to it 4 times in a row, and i just quit the game when they called a bug breach on me. Its not fun to have invulnerable enemies that get free damage on you, and the only way to avoid dying to them is to not fight any of the other enemies at all, either, and just run away, as far as I can tell.

BassGould

I started doing some combat missions again and im crashing like crazy, even got locked out of my account, so they def didnt fix it lol. Even when not dogfighting, its just something about being in ship combat that causes the crash, because i was solo'ing a polaris i found and while sitting in the turret I crashed.

BassGould

I had a crash almost every mission last week, but heard there was a fix for that, and yesterday I did three of them and had none. It might be worth checking out, do a few and see how it is. And I'm not in a large ship pushing performance, I'm in a light fighter, so it's just a random bug.

BassGould

Somehow, some way i managed to keep it up enough to stick around for 3 hull-c's (partial loads, 700 scu) and a caterpillar last night. The bugs around this are unbelievable.

BassGould

Because you can just buy the 2xs3 turrets for the regular mk2 and equip it, cant you? its a little costly in game, but not that much, and now its 4xs3 and 2xs4, not bespoke, so actually better than the meteor in DPS in most situations. For the price, its wayyyyyy better. And i say this as someone who melted my SHmk2 for the meteor

BassGould

If insurance goes the way that is planned, there will be no place for weak ships, because you'll get them destroyed 5-6 times, and suddenly your 3-minute claim timer is 7 days. So in the end, it winds up worthless either way, for 260$. Tanky ships will be king, if insurance gets implemented the way it is planned. No point in me using my Meteor or even a Hornet if a heavy fighter with double the HP stays alive more often, and doesn't need to get claimed for 3 days.

BassGould

Wait what? Why? This was like the only counter to capital ships that wasn't just "pay 600$"

BassGould

Yeah, they removed the second click in the remaster for some reason. Its there in the original, but not in the remaster. So lockpicking is harder now in the remaster. To do it, you have to send the pin upwards over and over, without setting it, until you get the slowest moving one. WHen you are confident that its moving as slow as possible, don't let it go to the bottom, send it back up, and right when it hits the top, set it. Eventually, you'll know the slowest speed, and be able to not need to spam send it up.

BassGould

At max thats a 25 hit point reduction, when most people should have around 600 hit points, you shouldn’t be stuck at 300 from a -25 penalty. Even my body build character never got above 400hp because of the bug, when I should have been seeing 900 hit points.

BassGould

While the length may be the same, how are the move sets? Is it the same, literal 4 attacks to the point where sometimes the monster will do the same attack 8+ times in a row? And then they reflavor the new attacks for further phases to instead have wylk or fire? And the monster doesn’t move locations for a change up in pace, it’s 30+ minutes of uninterrupted smack the monster, run backwards, smack the monster, repeat. It’s not just the health that makes it boring or unfun, it’s the fact that I just stand by its tail and smack it while dodging occasionally for 30 minutes with no tactics or break in action or anything.

BassGould

30 minutes of the same 4 attacks is a pretty insane amount of time actually. That’s boring and unfun and is a tanky wall. Consider that the same difficulty Arkveld most people can beat solo in 8-12 minutes, and good players have it down to like 2 minutes. It’s tedious, and for what?
