You're looking for Allendale! It's far enough north of downtown that you don't have to deal with downtown traffic. There's a while bunch of shops and eateries up and down Burnet. The neighborhood is lovely, and Shoal Creek Dr is one of the nicest roads in Austin. It's also just down from another great shopping area that includes a theater, a bunch of restaurants, and the north Epoch location. There's a Walmart, and a Ross right next to it, too. The neighborhood gets more rain than other places in Austin, but not so much of the severe weather. It's also only about 20 min from the Domain.

That would make sense. I was raised by PBS, but wasn't allowed to watch Sesame Street or Barney. So I watched a lot of adult oriented TV that scarred me for life.

I bit the guy because he was forcing his way in. I was so scared I was going to get raped that I lost control of my bladder. They claimed that I threatened them with scissors! I'm honestly shocked that I didn't get "resisting arrest" as well!

Right!? I saw a documentary about it on PBS back in the day, and seeing the corpse pictures unlocked my suppressed memories. Between documentaries and westerns, I had quite a lot of nightmares! My mom can't stand sci-fi, and blamed my nightmares on watching Star Trek. 🫠

Yikes! This is some dark IYKYK shit. That bat picture is of flying fox babies. There was a mass "die-off" caused by global warming this summer. The mother's died because of the extreme heat. Whatever you do, do NOT go looking up videos! Like, seriously, don't do it! I'll never get the screaming out of my head.

My friend and her siblings were really into building elaborate Lego structures. They had a bunch of Lego Star Wars figures. It was really funny to equip the pirates with the lightsabers! Superheroes with lightsabers is also great. My first actual merch was a Dairy Queen cup from an Ep 1 promotion. It came from a friend's older sister. She knew I loved the franchise, so she saved and flattened the cup for me so I could see the art. It was a treasure that I had to sneak into my room after she snuck out to me. Naturally, I my mom somehow found out, and she used that knowledge to make fun of me, and demonstrate how rebellious and uncristlike I was. Cults ain't fun, y'all! I now have a bunch of the Lego SW games, and I get to play then with my little sister. That's better than I ever hoped as a kid.
