They really need to offer lower sodium options for canned goods. There are a few things that make it impossible for Trader Joe’s to be my personal one-stop shop; some of them are issues that seem irreconcilable with how their product pipeline works (ie I need more fresh produce options, and more that aren’t in plastic bulk bags, I use some specialty “ethnic” products that just likely don’t have enough demand for a small store to justify the shelf space) but I am sure I’m not the only one who buys no salt added broth, canned beans and tomatoes, etc. Some people want them because we need to limit our sodium, but plenty of people just prefer no salt added so they can more easily use the item in a variety of recipes.

I love pumpkin soup, and I’m definitely a dessert person, but I just can’t imagine using this product for a soup. I make pumpkin soup with canned pumpkin or fresh all the time and have truly never been tempted to add sugar.
