Always always always redirect people to contact emergency services themselves if they feel their presence is needed. I wish I could say I had no experience of anything like this but a couple of years ago my partner who has T1D switched to a new provider who said she'd never heard of anyone taking the amount of insulin he was and her recommendation in writing was that he just stop using insulin for awhile "to see what happens."

My Libby app will also show the book as either checked out by someone else or as available for me to check out again.

Your kindle downloads new things before it updates the rest of your library, so if you're careful you can do this consistently.

I leave my kindle in airplane mode except to download new books (it begins downloading before it updates and removes expired or returned books,) so yes. Your device does update normally once it is allowed to stay connected to the Internet, but your Libby library will absolutely let you return a book that you still have on the Kindle that it's not able to talk to.

I used to be scheduled till 1am and would sometimes be the designated driver for friends on weekends after my shift.
