It gets better every day, but it is such a pit to climb out of that it feels dark for a very long time. The memories all hurt to begin with, but they get better, and you start to appreciate them again. That’s been a happy part for me so far. When the memories stopped being painful and became happy again. It is a painful process, and there are no shortcuts.
