Hmm strange, I think the first time it happened it took a couple restarts though. Could try the beta build in any case
GimpyGeek
I'm also curious how that would fly for the voice chat too, the console people have prox chat and stuff, which we don't have on pc if anyone cares enough we'd just use discord or something but ya know
GimpyGeek
Just restart Steam, they should come back. It's a known issue that's already been fixed in the beta build
GimpyGeek
I'd also point out that you can individually dismiss the sponsored icons by hand in the context menu for each one
GimpyGeek
Yeah totally goes both ways I'm so tired of the influence from them both directions.
GimpyGeek
PC version also has the controller UI too btw. It really flips the entire UI on it's head when you use controller instead.
There is of course, no voice chat on pc though and the chat window is the PC one by default, but can be changed to the console one.
GimpyGeek
Hard to blame ya there, would be nice if they got the whole crossplay/save thing going but I'm sure that's pushed back even further with recent developments
GimpyGeek
hey I've got this great idea, it's called how about you worry about your own election in your own country and we should also do the same. Tired of this foreign interference crap all the way across the board lately.
GimpyGeek
Set pieces you've unlocked can be duplicated with transmute crystals. The cost however is dependent on how many parts of the set you have, the more you have the less it costs, capping out at 25 on the lowest end
GimpyGeek
Yeah was starting to use it and thought it'd be handy at first, then I hit the size wall and was like welp guess not so much lol
GimpyGeek
Well not terrible, depending, it's definitely meant to be usable, but if it's happening on your local network to a machine on your local network it'd definitely an unexpected degradation of possible performance ya know
GimpyGeek
Yeah I'm curious how they will potentially handle the whole guild store thing. There's a limited number of stores in the game as it is and introducing two platforms worth of extra guilds to things is going to be weird to say the least. On top of which non-subscribing players can't even access shops in some of the zones (unless they paid for the area of course.)
GimpyGeek
Yeah you'd have to setup the steam bind as a chord then it'll ask what other button to press at the same time to fire that bind off
GimpyGeek
Google's been doing that to me since the Nova patch or so, not sure what the deal is but it's heavily irritating
GimpyGeek
Agreed this is wildly stupid, now people might have to go to sites full of viruses and shit to get a copy, fantastic. Personally my hardware uses the old one I think my mouse can use either but kb sure cannot.
I wonder if that means the even older build is going away too. I got a joystick that was the current model at the time around circa 2015 and was shocked to have it not work in LGS. Later looked closer and found out it was an old model still being actively produced but was using the even older major LGS version (major as in, full rewrite like Ghub was) from the software previous to the final version of LGS, crazy. At least other software can handle that better than the classic LGS can anyway.

Many random pads that do that just double up binds from elsewhere on the pad and are made with consoles in mind that won't be rebinding those. Others have software that can rewrite what the buttons do then write the config to the pad so it can work on consoles and stuff, but it's not something that dynamically easily happens like with steam.
You may very well be screwed on that if those aren't addressable buttons that might be all you can do. But that depends entirely on what that pad is. Steam hasn't really even supported things that aren't made by them like that for very long but there are a few stand outs I know of.

Check out the health bars, if it's yellow they have armor, if it's red they only have regular health
GimpyGeek
Yep publisher gets it. For now I wouldn't worry about any of their old games, EA is very unlikely to remove them I imagine.
GimpyGeek
I don't have any bigger tips I suppose, I guess you already dedicated some of the steam deck extras to target. But I did want to add that if you want those for something else you don't even really have to do that, one of the other myriad of controls that are stuffed in there to figure out, is that while you're holding one of the triggers readying your hot bars, it actually turns the bumpers into next/prev target anyway.
GimpyGeek
Yeah it's pretty fucky. I was actually expecting things like this to occur when quantum computing got further ahead and things like current encryption were turned entirely upside down AI doing this crap was definitely not on my radar before that but here we go I guess.
GimpyGeek
Oh but just wait until the gas tax exemption ends then things are going to get real spicy
GimpyGeek
True, though it's painfully disgusting how little qualifications people seem to think a president needs now. Much as I despise Trump because of his money it can't be denied he's been CEO of his company, but what qualifications does Vance really think he has?
Politically speaking it's like, what did he do, half a senate term then become vp?
GimpyGeek
Yeah I wish we had more hardware company choices when you want solid software to actually USE all your buttons and stuff regardless of what it's on. Logitech's got a lot of good stuff in ghub and the old software and luckily they will actually live side by side if necessary. But yeah razer likes to just EOL something and say get fucked to anyone using things, it's ridiculous.
Yeah, in Ohio you can just flip things at the polls to change whose primary you're voting in, I do this sometimes just to pick a slightly less nutter person on the other side. Just for the hope of avoiding someone more damaging if the gop wins.
