Finally, I managed to get a new demo ready!

I planned to release the demo by the end of October, but my little one got sick all the time, so did I. My energy bar was so low that I had barely made any progress until last week. I was a bit desperate to reach my goal before the end of the year.

So what do we have here? That demo gathers all the core mechanics of the game: keys, doors, jumps, size up, and size down, and presents them as tutorials.

The game will have other features of course(moving platforms, pressure plates, padlocks, timeout, other mice to compete for cheese, and a cat to chase you out, etc) but first I want to be sure that the core gameplay is solid and intuitive, or the rest of the game will fall like a house of cards. So please tell me if you see any room for improvement.

See you on the next post (that I hope to be sooner than this one)

Ps: How is your experience of developing indie games while raising kids?

Nice Job then ! I will have a try to your game to see how good the visual is 😁

You can use interface as well if you need to call all methods planning the seed to grow, spread in many different classes. Or you can use inheritance and write the method for making seeds grow in tree in the base class. The children class will just override texture, sprite, size, color etc...

Krel113

Hey ! Nice textures and lights, which render pipeline have you used ? HDRP or URP ?

Pathways on Unity learning are great. See CodeMonkey, GameDevHQ and InfaillibleCode as well. And if you have LinkedIn Premium ou can follow pathway for Unity developper on LinkedIn learning (pretty good for completing your knowledge).

That's why the bride gets furious 🤣

Hello everyone !

Last week end happened the GMTK Game Jam 2021. The theme was "joined together". We are happy to show you the game we have made in 48h.

Escape the bride and her henchmen through this topdown shooter. How long will you dodge her?

If you enjoyed the music, the artist is Cjbeards. They have fabulous musics duty free.

if you don't know how Unity works, that's normal to struggle. To give a behaviour to an object you need to attach the script to this object (present in the hierarchy), or another if you script set up a reference to this object. Anyway, follow some tutorial to get to know how Unity works Be patient. And remember that learning Unity doesn't reconsider your skills in C#.

Krel113

Hey ! What are you looking for exactly ?

Krel113

This game mechanic is really interesting. Are you planning to use it for a FPS or a puzzle game ? How long can you record the actions of the player ?

Krel113

Hey ! Would be great to add other drunk people in the level. You would have a battle royal of hard drinkers 🤣

Krel113

Really Nice ! Did you use post processing for getting this tone of color ? I have been working on a prototype and I would get a pastel color tone for the level. I'm struggling 🤣

Krel113

Hey I thought this game was already released. I saw many youtubers playing to it. Looks fun. There is a multiplayer mode ?

Krel113

Are you making the following of Sekiro ? 😋

Krel113

looks good, and the AI has good reactions. Anyway don't make the AI too much good, otherwise players won't have a chance to beat it. And losing continiously isn't fun (except Dark souls game 😉)

Krel113

Hey ! I saw your game last year at indie game convention at Isart School. How goes the developpment ? Are you near to release the game ?

Krel113

haha looks cool. Looking forward to see how is the game 😉

Krel113

Hey really nice ! Shaders aren't for me for the moment. I still need to improve my knowledge about c# and pixel art 😉 but one day, sure I will
