Schwab’s checking account lets me schedule recurring Zelle payments, which is how my landlady takes rent. So now my finances are completely automated and I check in maybe once a month or every two months.

Barring the obvious 100X on all purchases and $10000 flight credit, I’d create a “group travel foodie” card.

5X on dining and all travel—flights, hotels, vacation rentals, etc.

3X on gas, public transit/ride shares, and groceries

2X on streaming services and entertainment

1X everything else

$200 flight credit

$200 hotel or AirBnB/VRBO credit

$75 quarterly dining credit with Opentable

GrubHub/DD/Uber Eats premium membership + $15 monthly credit

Visa Infinite with primary rental car insurance coverage

Points transfer 1:1 to United, ANA, Alaska Hawaiian, Air Canada, British Air, Qatar Air, and Qantas. 1:1 to Hyatt and IHG, or 1:0.75 to an AirBnB/VRBO gift card.

They offer an HSBA through Lively, though that's still an extra account to have.

I think the (probably unsatisfying) answer is that it depends.

Asian here. I use Zelle 99% of the time and keep Venmo for the few that don’t have Zelle. Zelle’s better in every way imo
