The homunculi in Bride of Frankenstein is one of the greatest special effects I've ever seen and I'm still not entirely sure how they pulled it off.

Most recently, Primetime.

The acting was great and I loved the look of the film, but I also don't feel like it properly establishes a thesis for what exactly it wants to examine. Pattinson's hyper-real performance was fun to watch, but I think the script only very slightly pierces the veil on him and what made him tic.

Sinners, by far.

Ugh, sure if you want to be pedantic about it, it’s not a “full on” sweep, no. But it still wins 10 Oscars, more than double the runner up and now the 2nd most Oscar-winning film in history. If I hear a single movie being called out 10 times for the win in a ceremony, that’s pretty dang close to a sweep on the night in my book.

Because it still wins 10 Oscars in this scenario.

I really hope this year is more interesting than a full-on Odyssey sweep.

Baulder’s Gate 3

I’ve tried at least 3 or 4 times to get into it and still haven’t made it past Act 1. I think I just fundamentally don’t like the combat system, and in general I’m not well-versed in DnD so I don’t really understand the differences between things like short rest vs. long rest, item/resource management, etc.

I still don’t understand the praise for Free Guy, it’s one of the most irritating films I’ve ever seen.

Hell, just ask him to describe the best Elden Ring build.

Absolutely loved her in Klute, such a bonafide “movie star” performance and her Bree Daniel is one of the most fascinating screen characters ever crafted.

“Bug Like an Angel” by Mitski (the music video is also highly recommended)

“The Unforgiven,” “The Unforgiven II,” and “The Unforgiven III” by Metallica

(First one is still the best IMO)
