This is the same card as [[Activated Sleeper]] for one less mana. You can do literally the same line as before except you also get [[Sylvan Safekeeper]] off of the first activation which protects you from random targeted activated abilities.
The question is less "why would Hulk want this?" and more "why wouldn't Hulk immediately swap Activated Sleeper for this?"

2d6 is strictly better than 1d12, if everything else is equal (hit chance, weapon mastery, bonus damage, rerolls, etc.) due to the higher minimum damage. It's 7 vs 6.5 per hit, on average.
It's okay to still like and even prefer 1d12 weapons because you enjoy having swingier rolls. I'm not going to call you insane because you don't want to use the statistically optimal weapon, I make slightly worse and even entirely bad choices on purpose all the time.
But you should never confuse that preference for there being a statistical argument for 1d12 vs 2d6. There aren't any good ones, and it's better to be aware of this and still choose the worse thing than it is to pretend the thing you're choosing isn't just statistically worse.

Someone posted the ten millionth anti-Claire post.
Transphobes used Claire post to complain about trans people as usual.
Head mod Tabnam made a sticky post on this thread congratulating people for reporting the transphobes and getting five of them banned.
Thread gets locked due to rampant transphobia.
An unknown number of mods got so tired of moderating transphobes in the comments of Claire posts that they figured if they just banned posting about Claire entirely they wouldn't have to moderate transphobia anymore.
One mod (mammalian alien) made a public post calling the other mods out for this, because the correct response to transphobes being bigots in comments is to ban the transphobes not discussion of the topic that triggered them.
Tabnam posts an apology and retracts the ban on Claire posts.
Tabnam unmods and bans mammalian alien for airing the mod's laundry in public, makes a new post claiming that mammalian alien "broke the code of conduct" and was not being retaliated against for being against transphobia.
Some community members call bullshit, start flooding subreddit with pro-trans posts. Some community members use this an opportunity to complain about trans people existing, blaming us for the drama. Subreddit sees so many new posts and comments that people from outside the community on both sides get exposed to the drama and start posting in the sub about it.
A new mod joins the mod team at some point.
Tabnam nukes themselves from orbit, deleting their Reddit and Discord accounts entirely after turning over admin rights to another mod. Presumably because they're unable to handle the amount of criticism coming from people on both sides.
New mod is speculated to be a Tabnam alt due to timing of them joining.
Different mod (name is something about spaceships I think?) makes a post apologizing for the confusion, says Claire posting is permitted again and mammalian alien has been invited back to the mod team with apologies.
Other different mod (idk who exactly) is evidently not caught up on the drama and various levels of backtracking, sees a bunch of Claire posts on the front page and starts deleting them again.
Spaceships mod kicks other different mod from the mod team and issues a second apology. Trans allies are still flooding the sub with pro trans posts, transphobes are still mad we exist (which is just a day ending in y for them, so I don't really care about it that much).

The video game implementation of the sandy effectively gives you super-speed because it doesn't limit V's movement speed the way it limits enemy movement.
I'm aware of how it would actually work on a mostly biological human, which is closer to the TTRPG implementation (ignoring "David's Experimental Sandevistan" which was designed to mimic the Edgerunner's portrayal of the video game implementation that gives you super-speed).
Silvermoon3467
So you can sacrifice the new Hulk to find more combo pieces, mostly
Silvermoon3467
I don't know anything about its provenance other than what I was able to find printed in the article itself online. How do you know it's an official crossover?
Silvermoon3467
Uhh, he's like Tom Bombadil if Tom randomly appeared among the fellowship while they were on the way to Mordor and used his godlike powers to force them to do things merely for his amusement.
Imagine if Tom suddenly appeared while the Balrog was on the Bridge of Khazad-Dûm and whisked the Fellowship away to a tea party, warned them Gandalf was about to die and there was nothing they could do about it, lectured them about how the Nine Riders prove humanity is inherently evil, then returned them to the exact moment in time they had left and watched while Gandalf died when he clearly could have prevented it from happening in the first place because he's far more powerful than the Balrog. And then he appeared several more times, whenever it was most inconvenient, specifically to use his godlike powers to mess with Aragorn rather than render any actual assistance.
He's an enraging (complimentary) character who pretty much only existed to screw with Picard by placing him in increasingly outlandish, impossible situations.

If you mean the World of Future Darkness (judging by the mention of the Celerity discipline), I'm not very familiar honestly, but it appears to be a short article written by an author who wasn't a primary author on Cyberpunk 2020. It was published in a White Wolf magazine as a way to translate some of the core rules of Cyberpunk 2020 into Vampire: the Masquerade terms for people who wanted sci-fi in their Vampire games.
The official 2013 and 2020 sandy just gave an initiative bonus, like the one in Red. R Tal never published a sandy that gave additional actions until the Edgerunner's Mission Kit came out after Edgerunners Season 1.

V still moves at normal speed while everyone else moves 85% slower. It functionally grants super speed by slowing down time for everyone except V, as opposed to something like the Horizon franchise's focus mode which slows the entire game down, including Aloy's movements.
Silvermoon3467
I'm more than happy to drop Nog on turn 2, play another 2 drop and upgrade him once on turn 3, then upgrade him again and replay a fetch or something on 4 and play a third 2 drop.
If you're trying to play a bunch of 3-4 mana cards in this deck you'll probably stumble, but for a low to the ground deck it's fine.
Silvermoon3467
So wait, hold on. Did R Tal actually sell off the entire Cyberpunk license to CD Projekt?
Lol, lmao
Silvermoon3467
Reading all of the lore shards convinced me that the hardware wasn't actually the problem for most of these people; their social and emotional problems caused them to snap, and their access to cybernetics merely allowed them to inflict much greater harm on the people and property around them than would otherwise have happened. It feels more like a metaphor for gun crime than anything else.
That means "cyberpsychosis" has two meanings, one that refers to a collection of people who commit violent crimes who happen to have extensive chrome, and one that is actually a clinical diagnosis that is characterized primarily by the symptoms of psychopathy and antisocial personality disorder.
Adam Smasher does not suffer from hallucinations. Neither did Johnny Silverhand. "Cyberpsycho" became a political category like "terrorist" that the media and politicians slap on the victims of capitalism and colonialism to avoid having to do anything to fix society.
But just like how psychopaths are overrepresented in real life corporate c-suites, you're more likely to encounter the genuine article in a boardroom than you are to find them shooting up the local convienence store because they suffered from a hallucination or delusion. Cyberware doesn't cause psychotic breaks, it's just that some people with psychosis also happen to have chrome.
Silvermoon3467
Yeah, except that now we've gone full circle with the Edgerunner's Mission Kit "David's Experimental Sandevistan" actually allowing you to take extra actions without any additional cyberware (at the cost of 2d6 humanity per activation on top of the initial 4d6 humanity loss), so who's to say what the devs actually think. Something something rule of cool something, I guess.
I don't hate that it's brought more people into the genre or even specifically into the tabletop, but I do kind of miss the more grounded, noir vibe the 2020s books had vs the more modern TTRPG sensibilities of Red and the "loudly blow things up" style the video game and Edgerunners have popularized.
Silvermoon3467
She's a very polarizing character because of her behavior during her quest line. V can make certain choices that result in her throwing a tantrum and refusing to talk to you and, similarly to the hidden version of The Sun ending, the best result for the quest requires you to use specific dialogue choices at the end of the second to last race before getting to the last one (and it also requires you to bail halfway through the last race when prompted, which a lot of people aren't willing to do for her in the first place).
This results in an outsized number of people just posting about her in general, which attracts people who hate her specifically because she's trans.
Silvermoon3467
My Temur landfall deck with no planets and no good way to make use of currently released planets: lol, lmao even
Silvermoon3467
Yeah, I'm not totally caught up on the drama, there seem to have been several posts between what I saw last night and now lol. My main concern is that Tabnam at least seemed to be vocally opposed to the transphobes, and obviously Mamallien was, but I can't say I know who the remaining mods are, specifically, or what motivates them.
Hopefully there's some kind of statement forthcoming; the subreddit's practically in open revolt lmao. Having been a forum moderator in a past life I can't say I'm particularly sympathetic since this is a hole they dug for themselves, but they seem to have a pretty serious problem on their hands.
Silvermoon3467
Edgerunners and taking creative liberties with both the lore and the laws of physics, name a more iconic duo.
The problem is that Edgerunners takes creative liberties with the video game, which itself takes creative liberties with the tabletop game, which itself takes creative liberties with reality. It's like the laws of physics as understood through the weirdest game of telephone.
In the tabletop, a Sandy does nothing except increase your initiative, which allows you to act before other people during a combat round. It does this by enhancing your reflexes and allowing you to perceive time differently.
CD Projekt interpreted this as a full body time dilation device for the video game, allowing you to essentially freeze time for your enemies and take multiple actions before they even get to take one.
Studio Trigger based their anime off of the video game Sandy, and so we got "the Sandy allows David to move fast enough to pickpocket people without them perceiving his existence" and "David and Adam Smasher fighting for several minutes while the rain stops around them because they're moving too fast" stuff.
But in reality, no amount of enhanced reflexes or perception alone would you allow you to do this stuff. You'd need some kind of spacetime folding device or a special full body conversion that allows you to physically move faster than a hummingbird's wings.

About .8% of the US population is transgender. But that's still 28 million people. There are around the same number of trans people in the US as there are women who are natural redheads. It's a small percentage, but you meet way more people than you think.
If you work in customer service and see 33 different people each day, on average, you'll see 80 trans people in a 30 day period.
Obviously this varies with exact location as demographic patterns are not perfectly average across the entire country. And it also includes people who are closeted who admit to being trans on demographic surveys. But it's incredibly likely that you've met at least one trans person and had no idea they were trans, whether they were closeted or passing.
Silvermoon3467
Tabnam was the one who posted the original sticky on that thread congratulating people for getting 5 transphobes banned.
They sort of became a figurehead for the bad mods because of their position as head mod and choosing to fall on the sword of responsibility, but what I'm worried about is that, with them and mamallien both being gone, whoever decided to ban Claire posts in the first place is still running things and might even get promoted to fill the hole.
Silvermoon3467
There's a difference between closing a thread and banning discussion of a character in the game entirely because people hate a real life demographic group she's part of.
Preferring a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice type shit, honestly.
Silvermoon3467
Yeah, the problem is trans allies "stirring up drama" and not normalized transphobia that makes transphobes think it's okay to spew hate speech on Reddit whenever someone makes a Claire post
Ya'll are disgusting tbh
Silvermoon3467
Because it's an anime and they've taken a number of liberties with both the lore and the laws of physics, in season 2 even more than season 1.
Silvermoon3467
It isn't a matter of paying or not paying attention for some people; you only even know that there are two choices the second before it changes the image to the two of them, and it's not that easy for a lot of people to put names with faces after seeing them for six seconds.
You're plainly biased, either because your facial recognition works better than a significant number of people, or because you literally can't remember what it was like on the first playthrough when you didn't know ahead of time which two names to remember.
But not everyone is you, and no one has the benefit of hindsight on their first playthrough without having to reload. It's not like changing this has any effect on the story, I'm not sure why it's problem when it's literally just an accessibility issue.
Silvermoon3467
The goal is to increase the price of oil so the oil companies can jack prices up further and extract more value from us because our public infrastructure is so bad that no one with a job can not drive a car.
And also to try to punish Iran for refusing to bend the knee to God Emperor Trump.
But mostly the first thing.
Lol, lmao
Welcome back and also I'm very sorry, to you specifically. I'm not sure I would have bothered working with them again after this if it were me, you're a better person than I am.
