I don’t know about other states, only Florida, but I suspect most states are the same in this regard: cops are legally allowed to lie, period. Do not buy into any claims people make that “if you ask if someone’s a cop they have to tell you or it’s entrapment”, that’s not correct. They can lie to you at every step. DO NOT EVER SAY ANYTHING TO A COP PERIOD. The only phrase you should ever say to a cop is “I want to speak to a lawyer”, say it over and over and over and over. As far as avoiding a sting, the best you can do is vetting clients before hand, which may not be an option if you’re working on the street level. Be safe out there.

I’m not a SWer, just someone who supports them, so I don’t have personal experience like the other commenters. But I think you have to decide if he’s a boyfriend or a client. If he’s a client he should be paying you for your time at your regular rate. If he’s your boyfriend then he should be supportive of you having your own income by seeing clients. If he can’t do one or the other, he may not be right for you, only you can decide that tho.

That makes sense to me, thank you for the thoughtful response! I wonder if there’s another way to offload the admin work. Like maybe a personal assistant who doesn’t draw a salary but works as an independent contractor and gets a commission or something like that. This feels like a solvable problem to me, I just don’t know the right method yet…

Not sure if it’s an option where you live, but in my city you can rent a small studio apartment for $1000 a month. So if you have 5 hotel stays a month then you break even by having the apartment, and then every incall after that you keep more of your fee. Also, if you rent it with another SWer and you can coordinate so they are using it on the days you’re not then your costs get split in half.  

Never heard the phrase “sex repulsed” before, I’m actually really interested in hearing more about that. But if you don’t like sex with other people then it might not be worth the money.
