Yeah vibes based downvotes for sure- their comments don’t really even tell whether they lean left or right, everything said is popular across the spectrum. It’s just people piling onto some perceived disagreement without any reading comprehension

That’s simply not true. There are so many factors other than pure discipline that play in, many outside of our control. Our culture puts a such a heavy emphasis on personal responsibility that it can often feel easiest for people to just blame themselves. It’s not weak or a cop out to recognize and understand the other factors at play; rather it can be a powerful gateway toward pulling out of self loathing and finding the strength/strategies you need to live a better life. I do hope you, and anyone else who struggles, can find something like that.

The idiots who do stuff like this are the only people who created and perpetuated the "You won't hear about Covid after Nov 3" strawman. Covid isn't over now that Joe Biden won- in fact, now that he won we can look forward to having leadership that doesn't pretend it's over when in fact it's worse than ever before.

You’ve obviously never worked a day of retail in your life. The job description is to do what their managers tell them too, and that will certainly be to put all of the stuff this self-righteous asshole “donated.” There is a 0% chance that food makes it to people in need unless he somehow managed to do this in some stealthy way so that nobody knew what he did. Do you think that the average person who works for a grocery store is doing so because they love it and are loyal to the corporation and it’s owners? Absolutely not. They are there out of a necessity, to make money that they use to pay rent or tuition or loans or all of the above. It’s an insult to anyone who works retail to act like they’re some kind of shill for the company just because it’s allows you to stay in your reality where doing something to make their lives harder is somehow sticking it to their billionaire overlord.

The whole sub is full of semantic arguments. Every other thread is basically a bunch of supporters crafting increasingly narrow definitions of “racism” to tell the libruhls that what they’re calling racist is actually just politically incorrect, ignoring the fact that their own interpretation of everything the says and writes is based on the most twisted logic that ignores obvious context and skims quickly over any parts that can’t be defended by redefining every word. The mental gymnastics are incredible.

We still pay a federal income tax, just no cut goes to the state. Texas also has pretty high property taxes, but I those are paid straight at the municipal level so they don’t show up on this chart.

I don’t disagree, but the way my American brain rationalizes it is like this: if you have a calendar, you would first flip to the month and then find the day. You don’t get a list of all of the 14th and then browse through them to find September. With that in mind, it makes sense to do MM-DD. The year could go at the beginning (and often does when things are digitized), but for everyday use it’s much more common that the year is already known or unnecessary so we put it at the end instead. Not that it’s the best way to do it, but it works well imo.

That might be true of distant galaxies and nebulae and all that, but this is a planet in our solar system where we can and do send actual spacecraft with actual camera to take actual pictures like this one. Sometimes color is enhanced or augmented because the cameras work in wavelengths where we can’t see and it’s necessary for visualization, just like any infrared or X-ray or any other non-visible spectrum photo taken on earth, but that doesn’t make it fake.

I'm just a high school chemistry student, but it seems as if you might want to look into Coulomb's inverse square law, which describes the force between two charged particles.

In order to determine the winner, OP will have to pry it from his skull and use his last few moments alive to send a trade offer. RIP OP, we honor your sacrifice.

You seem very proud of the fact that you know the answer, but all I see in this thread is you being a cancer. Care to prove your knowledge before you shit on others for not knowing?
