The "wrongness" is that both characters are truly horrendous people with both trying to use and abuse the other.

Yeah.... don't do that with Season 3. It's so much better.

I will say that it's partly written by Neil Gaiman, but it's also written by Terry Pratchett and the show's cast and crew do such a great job.

There is absolutely no way that Matt would have been okay with that super duper slippery slimy unethical "hey at least my hands are clean" kind of justification.

A group at that level of violence wasn't going to just "stop" at Fisk. There's a good chance that they'd start targeting other people there including Matt.

Matt would be against any kind of death penalty, but a mob at that level of frenzy would have hurt and even killed other people too.
