I am not being divisive I am saying the term mega church has a specific connotation in my experience and that is that they are right wing evangelical congregations. Also when most non evangelical people read/hear the term mega it has negative implications because of said right wingers. It is a quick description that is very specific and it does not mean really big. Good day.

No. I have always liked voted with the greater good in mind. I have had both a little money and a great deal of money in my life. My values have not changed. I always think of overall society with a special eye on “the least of these” whether I was/am one or not.

Loved Death by Lightning!!!

I agree that along a river is best. Some options “floating” around over the years are St Joe, Jeff City, St Charles but not sure any are still under consideration.

When I said it’s not a “mega” church in the usual sense I mean that it is not a far right evangelical church that doesn’t follow/promote the teachings of Jesus (although they claim to be Christian). That is what I think of when I read “mega” church. His church is not that.

I hope some professional curator entity will “buy” it and give it the platform it needs-wherever that may be. It is cool but I understand that the river market is no longer the best place for it.

I read an interview with the kids of James and Helen and they said they love the expanded Mrs Hall character in the current series. This warms my heart -just like the show.

I am a fairly new viewer (2-3 years). I have always liked him, Maria and family but they haven’t been front and center until now. Had no idea of his background until recently. Honestly, the fact that he’s a grey character makes me like him even more. He and David are my favorite male characters.

Don’t forget the racists.

There will be one more season of the show. I have not read the books but plan to a couple of years after the show is over. I think/hope that should give me enough distance to enjoy the books in their own right.
I am rewatching the series now to pass the time until the final season airs.

Hamilton’s church is not a mega church in the way mega churches got their reputations. It is simply a huge United Methodist church. It is welcoming of all and does not discriminate against anyone. The he teachings of Jesus are it’s focus. If you read Jesus words/actions and take them to heart you will live a life of love for others. This is the tenants of the Methodists and Hamilton. I am voting for Hamilton because he not only talks the talk, he walks the walk.

Thank you for this article and your coverage of this remarkable timeline.

OP, if it’s convenient the next time you drive across the state take 36 hwy. It’s quite pleasant.

If this happens, can’t he still be charged for his “alleged” crimes even if he’s no longer sec of defense?

I hope this show lands somewhere in the US. I really like both of these actors.

I have this in the 1000 image. One of my favorites. I guess you shouldn’t hunt for any one piece very long.

I got the same vaccine and by the end of the day was feeling achy in my upper body. Same the next day. After that I was fine except the injection spot was sore for days. Interestingly enough, this is exactly how I felt the only time I got Covid (minus the fever).

True, but snow removal quality does divide us.

Britbox did this. I just keep my regular subscription and wait...

Have you watched Time yet? It is very good and is not mentioned much. The 3rd season is starting soon, if it hasn’t already.
Thanks OP for the recommendation.

I should have done the same. For me, once I watch the first season of a show I very rarely stop. Maybe it’s a commitment thing.

This is fine but they should let us know. Glad OP posted this. I will wait for all episodes to drop before I start the season.

I occasionally look for shows that my spouse wouldn’t like to watch on my own during the day. I had read that Apple TV has good sci fi shows and just picked this one several months ago. Honestly, it was a bit slow for me at first but I was very interested in the concept and the mystery of it all. Towards the end of the second season I could not get enough. Then I had to wait for the third season. Ugg. I am now obsessed and trying to get my daughter into it so I have someone to talk with about this great show. She is close to the last episode of s2!!!

I know the first two but never thought about “The Northland” term. Is it everything north of the river?

I would read anything by BN King. I trust them. So I am excited for the book.
