plug it in via Ethernet. updates and installs will be way faster especially on a new machine. once it's all updated, then wireless updates are fine
dirtyvu
then pick a Camry with 50+ mpg. Or a RAV4 with 45 mpg. don't get hung up on the Prius
dirtyvu
I own the Model 3 and the bZ Limited AWD and the bZ is way more comfortable. It's both the seats and the suspension. No idea how the ES is but Lexus tends to be soft and comfortable.
dirtyvu
i'm surprised they stayed parked. most people who hit then run for the hills
dirtyvu
yes, charge at home! I'm glad you agree
dirtyvu
lucky Canadians... have some maple syrup for me
dirtyvu
Pick a 50+ mpg camry . Don't get so hung up on prius.
dirtyvu
What public charger are you using and where
dirtyvu
it was a road trip. I charge at home like 95% of the time
dirtyvu
The electrician that installed mine didn't mention any problems. It was a hard wire installation and he was done within an hour.
Maybe I'll ask his opinion the next time I see him (he does a lot of wiring for the medical buildings my boss owns).

The premise is based on costs for home charging. That only applies if you can home charge. A lot of ev proponents intentionally leave out the fact that their cost savings only apply when home charging. I only pointed out with real life experience with real life information that the information provided only apply when home charging.

Ty!

The graph does not indicate what you're saying at all. It is purely doing fuel costs and distance driven.
dirtyvu
The whole premise of this post is purely cost of fuel. It's not about performance. Do you see performance as being part of his metrics ? No.
I clearly stated that to get fuel costs to favor EV, you have to charge at home. If you can only charge at public stations, you cannot get those fuel saving costs. Do you dispute what I wrote?
dirtyvu
I've never installed this kind of stuff. Can I just tighten it as much as possible or buy a torque wrench
dirtyvu
so it's a battle between the haves (home owners) and have nots I guess
dirtyvu
EV owners do tend to have more money and thus are home owners.
dirtyvu
That's what I wrote. Please read. It's not unrealistic . Most Americans can't charge at home . This isn't the outback. We don't have kangaroos either.
dirtyvu
I agree !
dirtyvu
Yes, but they don't get electricity for free. They're nice to provide it to you.
dirtyvu
Nice !!! When you have a chance, I would appreciate feedback ! :)
dirtyvu
Wouldn't that be nice! Can I hang out there
dirtyvu
I still need AM just for sports broadcasts. a lot of broadcasts are blacked out when using the Internet apps but fully available on AM radio.
dirtyvu
that's not a peck on the lips. full blown frenchie.
glad you realize the importance of home charging
