Someone posted a month or two ago a map showing the correlation between areas that have widespread use of cutlery, chopsticks, and hands for eating, and the relative rates of food born illness. I don't remember the subreddit, i think it may have been one of the geography ones. Areas with wide acceptance of chopsticks or utensils have a significantly lower rate of food born illnesses.

Of COURSE everyone has a type of finger food. NO I'm not saying cultures that use their hands to eat are to be disrespected. NO I'm not trying to dog whistle racism.Of COURSE societal realities are complex.

Were you an adult during his term? ANYTHING he did was slapped down by conservatives. I'm not defending things, many of those decisions make me very sad. But if you don't know the context, your derision is impotent.

He constantly presented an olive branch, just for Republicans to immediately slap it away.

He tried to acquiesce to conservatives. That sense of "meet them where they are" has brought on the nazism we see today. There was HOPE at that time republicans wouldn't go full fascism.
