Yes, but I'm saying it is impossible to level up between E4 fights without rare candies. That is different than safe infinite grind. You cannot legitimately reach each cap if you haven't legit farmed candies

I level cap for each member and use legit candies I have found. Some would argue you can get infinite candies with Pickup so you can justify hacked candies as well

I understand caring about this sort of thing but there is very, very little tangible reason to do so

The way to balance them is to give any one of them a mobility option that helps in disadvantage. Probably Squirtle to balance how bad it is at KOing. But lumping the character in with the 0-death machines, a heavy with the best command grab, and super zoners with shield pressure and huge grabs is crazy

I disagree so hard on PT wtf. Squirtle back throw kills at like 160, Ivy grab is ass and worthless out of shield, and zard has up smash anyway. Also squirtle is the only one with decent shield pressure but has the worst set of KO options in the game, and you would get rid of one? And you don't think any of the three should be able to threaten shields with a KO throw?

fwiw there is very, very little difference between gen 1 and 2 Pokemon data. If you were to compare the actual code for hypothetical Kangaskhan mirrors from gen 1 and gen 2 that are visually identical in moves, stats, and OT, they could only differ in 4 ways:

1. Friendship
2. Pokerus
3. Met location
4. Special split into attack and defense

None of these bits of data are accounted for when using Transporter. Friendship is reset, Pokerus status is lost, Crystal met location is lost, special split info is irrelevant.

So what I'm trying to say is that Transporter only cares about data that doesn't change depending on which game you transfer from. EXCEPT for the game itself, hence the met location changing to good ol days in Kanto or Johto. This, and any gen 2 exclusive moves, are the only detectable differences after using Transporter. And starting with BDSP, moves that are exclusive to gen 7 and earlier don't even transfer into those games, they get replaced by a default moveset specific to that game.

tl;dr you do you if you care about it. I care about minute things in these games but even on the data backend side of things, gens 1 and 2 are so basic that the only real difference is the met location itself.

Gen 4 Sturdy only works on Fissure, Guillotine, etc

That's a fair criticism. On the other hand, these candies are much easier to acquire and mega energy is walkable. I would encourage everyone to prioritize the fusions but this is pretty accessible compared to previous power creep

I'm a fan of this whole mega revamp. Way better than the max raid BS they pulled. Your previous megas are eligible, and everything that was strong before super mega is just as strong, there's just more options now.

This happened to me, someone did send me a remote and it took a while before the popup alerted me. Scroll thru your friend list just to make sure you don't see it and try restarting the app

I hope they bring it back but it's always been a really unusual aspect of the games and poorly explained as long as EVs remain poorly explained... not to mention the whole coronavirus aspect. I fear it's gone for good. I'll never forget getting it in gen 2 as a kid, getting the dialogue from Nurse Joy, and turning my game off in fear of the "microscopic organisms"
