Would have been cool to see him reintroduced into the mix the same way Osiris was. Even for a few episodes.

There’s lives, then there’s Jaffa lives. Training 2000 Jaffa would be a sizable hit, and with those you could subjugate millions given the technological advantage.
Besides, 60 million is tolerable to save face for a goauld.

Commanding Atlantis is effectively controlling how human engagements events develop for an entire galaxy, while also running a giant spaceship that happens to also be a complete city in itself.
Commanding the Daedalus is just commanding a ship.
I know which I’d prefer.

Dude, look up Angela Lansbury when she was 25 and tell me she’s unattractive. Sure was beautiful. Style is different. People accepted their age back then, now they don’t

It does bother me on the incredibly rare occasion that it does happen, but I have never gone to the extent to complain about it, let alone hand them cone back for an absolutely meager sum only to dress someone down publicly like that.
These people are absolute trash.

Serves them right. Fuck these self important assholes. Imagine treating a delivery driver like that over a meager $8. That’s a 19% tip, not even unreasonable.

Yes I really should have not said a thing. That being said, I did hit one in the NW airfield last playthrough. Unpleasant surprise.

Land mines? I’ve spent my last the runs here and never hit one….

Damn. He was just havin a dance!

I cannot get over the Hyperion love here. Yes!!! Literally no one I knew growing up ever knew of this book and I spent soooo long trying to tell all my friends to read it, no one ever did.
Crazy good series.

- Was not easy, but then thankfully I grew up in Australia and not the US where I likely would have ended up a junkie.

Dude how much do you want that gun to weigh???

This. Single use plastics aren’t durable, and they break down super easily with fairly minimal use. I just start away from them wholesale.

I see a couple of things going on here.
First, generally speaking the alliance of the four great races seemed to me to generally practice a sort of benevolent non-interference.
The ancient kind of helped out where they saw fit just to protect some Pegasus humans and not others from the Wraith, the Nox didn’t get involved at all, we never even see the Furlings, and the Asgard kind of played the same role in the Milky Way galaxy as the Ancients do for the humans in the Pegasus galaxy.
My interpretation of this is each of these great four races was not confined to the Milky Way galaxy. (I’d love to see some Pegasus Nox). We see that obviously with the Asgard and Ancients, but it’s never directly observed with the Nox or the Furlings for obvious reasons.
So to answer the question, no.
I don’t think there is any scenario where the Asgard feared to Goa’uld. Intergalactic travel is a whole different level of technology compared to interstellar travel and we must assume that knowledge extends to defensive and offensive technology.
The Asgard ship that Osiris destroys was a small, old one, and she was only able to do that by leveraging Anubis’s ancient technology, then the Asgard promptly showed up with three more that dwarfed her ship and sent her scurrying away.
The Asgard didn’t eliminate the Goa’uld because they chose not to, not because they couldn’t. Thor even says during one episode that Asgard are not proud how bad they let the situation become in the Milky Way but he obviously goes onto to say they’ve kind of got bigger fish to fry.
It’s possible in my mind that there was a greater threat to the Milky Way galaxy during the reign of the Goa’uld that they may have kept at bay, so removing them was the less desirable option.

These were truly awful. Crappy controls, impossible gameplay that just ended up getting harder and harder, terrible experience all round. 0/10

I’m not sure Ra’s actual age is ever really established. It’s clear he obviously ruled over the Egyptians and they’re presented as a hunter gatherer society but that could mean anywhere between 3-25,000 years.
The Yu symbiote could have come into existence any time during the reign of Ra, they weren’t necessarily the same age.
Also remember that for humans, education and writing was literally illegal and punishable by death. It’s very reasonable to think that they had a limited concept of how time was even measured.

My favorite city. Great shots, classical Vancouver weather. Love it

Loved it generally, but hated the ending. Think of the let down the seventh season of the game of thrones television series ending was. This series wraps up with the same level of disappointment, at least it did for me after ask the build up.
I feel like he got tired of writing and just phoned in an ending to get the publisher off his back for the deadline.

I am largely as well. Friendless that is. It’s ok. The thing is, there’s nothing wrong with that. You just need to be ok with that fact, that’s the challenging thing to overcome. Once you do, life is great.
Honestly, people are disappointing in almost every regard.
I’d also suggest understanding how you today define the term friend. I probably have higher standards than most as to what that means to me, so it’s typical that my many acquaintances kind of don’t meet those expectations. Then it’s up to you as to whether you want to adjust those expectations, or not. I choose not to.

I always saw Lord Yu as between 2 to 3000 years old. I kind of took his Lo’Tars comment as more statement of mythology than fact.
China unified in the second century and he was regarded to be one of the first Emperors of China so that means at least 1800 years old and it’s reasonable to believe he didn’t take a host and immediately become emperor.
We know there were still Goa’uld on or around earth around that period given the presence of Christianity on other planets. Either way, super old, especially if he didn’t change his hosts and just relied on the sarcophagus.
And yes, before he died, his Lo’Tar mentioned that he was too old to take a new host.

Thoughts….. erm. Would you be upset if I got this myself?
This is fkn rad man
The one edit I might make is put the circle on top of the starfleet arrow. Already looks like an A, kind of. Or maybe make the Stargate A huge and sit behind the other two, that way you can see the circle at the top with the silhouette of the A being the starfleet arrow
She’s one of the reasons someone I know got a PhD in Physics from Cambridge. People talk about the Scully effect, I think there’s a few people out there who were subject to the Carter effect.
This story tracks with how I’ve pictured her in my head. Good to know I was right about that
