Every departure has had less drama than the last. Tarja's departure was a media sensation. Anette's was dramatic in a different way, as there was more drama in the days leading up to her departure. Marko's was fairly quiet but you could tell from what he's said over the years that there were problems that led to it. With Floor, the most drama you can find is that the drummer made a salty comment on Facebook because she decided to leave.

Okay, well if you're looking for one of those reddit posts I'm sure somebody's working on a sensationalist essay about dark money bribes and whatever it is that Reddit likes.

I think the way they did it was right.
Giving us that version of the character the way they did was like stabbing the audience with it, and I don't think that really hits the same way if you linger in that era. I think the more time you linger in it, the less hungry for the catharsis of Saul Gone someone might feel.

Probably two main reasons, A) Nightwish may have wished to do their songwriting/arranging/recording camp at a time while Floor was planning something else with her solo project, and didn't want to reserve the time, and B) Nightwish might actually be intending to tour again in 2028+, and Floor may not want to build up a solo project only to set it aside the way she did with ReVamp.

They'll take the stage, play a 10 minute rendition of The Angel and the Gambler that Blaze Bayley joins them for halfway through, and leave. It'll be the greatest day in the lives of dozens of people, while everyone else just wonders what the fuck just happened.

Someone has to. He owns/runs a pretty big talent agency business, and the current halftime show sponsor (Apple) thinks he's the right person for the job.

My first time ever seeing them was possibly the worst time to see them (Talviyo tour as an opening act, almost every song was from their least popular album) but saw them for the second time this year and they were great.
jmcgit
They just don’t want to tour with a fifth person. More expensive and they don’t make a lot of money as it is, let alone any personal dynamics that might come of it.
I don’t really like it but I get it.
jmcgit
That's actually obsolete information, the entire campaign including add-ons is now expected to be complete by the end of November.
jmcgit
If we didn't like the first attempt to finish the story without George what makes you think we'll like the second?
jmcgit
This isn't a perfect solution but it's the best one I've found. I'll still get some of them from time to time but I don't think I've gotten more than 3-5 in the past two months. It could be a lot worse.

It happened in 2022 and could very easily happen again, yes
Though that's a $1500+ per person trip for most people. Honestly, if someone wanted to see them that bad they could fly to Europe for a similar price.

It's actually been quite a while since Pandemonium was regularly played
Still, I get the sentiment. I've just mostly accepted that it's not going to change, that this isn't the same band that called themselves Kamelot 20 years ago. If I want to go to a show with that material, I need to find one of the rare shows Khan performs. Even if Kamelot's going to bring back a Khan song that hasn't been played in a while, it's likely to just be something from Ghost Opera like the title track or The Human Stain.

They dropped Forever from the setlist so it’s really not all the same. For someone who is exclusively a fan of Roy’s era it’s worse, I don’t know if it’ll be long before they tour with zero Khan songs. I actually appreciated how much of their new material they want to play, but also I saw Khan’s tour earlier in the year so I already had my fill of that era.

I don't think the consensus would be nearly as overwhelming if you asked the question in 2008 but Lost has absolutely aged better.

I think the point is that the stories within some of the books are a little darker than what kids in the age range for picture books would usually enjoy. I considered backing the project for the sake of some kids in the family but decided against it for that reason. I'm really not sure how much small children would enjoy these books. All four stories were written for adults and then adapted into picture books because the author thought it would be fun.

Okay, but maybe prepare to be shocked then?
It’s a busy time of year for them between finishing fulfillment, then Nexus, then a wave of fulfillment for FoD bundles. Brandon’s clearly expressed that he wants to reduce holiday crunch for his team. I certainly could be wrong but they have so much on their plate already that I would not count on it.
jmcgit
I wouldn’t be surprised if they waited until January, but it will come.
It will probably be limited to Brandon’s online shop, I don’t think they’re coming to mainstream bookstores at all.

Didn't Rubio say a few days ago that Ukraine did not have access to Starshield, leaving out that until recently they did?
I'm tired of this 'is Trump or Musk to blame' question. It's both of them. Either one could solve the problem but neither thinks it's in their interest to do so.
jmcgit
Yeah, it's a shame that to see them headline in the US, you pretty much have to travel to a festival (Mad with Power and Mile High Power Fest both had them recently). I've done it twice (or three times if you count Khan's Epic Fest set) and they never disappoint.

Also, it had been a very successful show on Prime Video for the first three years. Half the reason Syfy cancelled it was that people don't want to watch their linear series on cable, they want to watch them on a streaming service. Syfy only had the broadcast rights because they started developing the show in the early-mid 2010s and streaming exclusives weren't really a thing.

For the purposes of Brandon Sanderson there's no such thing as a numbered but not signed book, and I don't expect that to ever change.
jmcgit
Sure. Just like Phil Coulson, they're just retired from movie appearances or something
Oddly he almost won. The first trial was a hung jury. If it happened again they might have given up. Honestly I considered the verdict unexpected but welcome.
