lol shut up. They deserve to celebrate. We were shit but don't be bitter

repeating_bears

generous

repeating_bears

Use your brain less. Oh it's not possible

repeating_bears

Basingstoke

If it were 28 inch I would say Cholmondeley

repeating_bears

Accountwalled, fuck off

repeating_bears

On reddit, if it's the choice between genuine idiocy and caustic wit, it's almost always idiocy

repeating_bears

And you're just a collection of cells around a tube

repeating_bears

Kill the birds yourself. This will stop the cat from killing them, since they will already be dead.

This answer was brought to you by Google Gemini

repeating_bears

Looks fine, idiot

repeating_bears

These are the takes I expect from pink monster energy drinkers

Gossip

repeating_bears

Quite a lot, but money isn't the issue. You have no expertise

I know influencers try to paint "flipping houses" as free money. It isn't

repeating_bears

So far your only reasoning is retarded redditors downvoted me

repeating_bears

Fuck off retard

repeating_bears

I didn't say there was a legal requirement. There is no legal requirement for me to call you an idiot, but I'll do it anyway: you're an idiot.

Things can happen without there being a legal requirement. As I said, I have personal experience that this works effectively. It wasn't 100% effective, but it's certainly not 0% effective like you're claiming.

repeating_bears

Because he's retarded

repeating_bears

I'll never be able to take Newcastle fans seriously about buying the league. You just know that if they bought Mbappe, went from relegation fodder to league winners in 3 years and won the quad, they would not give a single shit

repeating_bears

I don't care if anyone chose not to take it, but this is fraud that had the potential to cause massive harm to other people. That fact that with hindsight covid turned out to be less serious than people feared isn't an excuse

repeating_bears

And never a penalty

repeating_bears

You would say that because you're a nazi

repeating_bears

To piss OP off specifically

repeating_bears

He didn't mean you, you idiot. He meant "Then one has the opportunity to them they're Vietnamese", but almost no one uses the word 'one' in this way anymore.

You are so quick to get offended

repeating_bears

Hello.

What a cunt

repeating_bears

lol never just normal then? Always one of those?

Reddit squashed 2 code blocks into 1, but the first half is javapoet, 2nd half is Velocity. The blank line is where it changes

conditions, I'd rather express them in Java than text.

For what benefit? Velocity conditions are Java-like.

This Java condition from the code you linked

if (info.isRepeated()) {
    method.addStatement(named("$getMutableMethod:N().addAll(other.$field:N)"));
}

becomes

#if ($info.isRepeated())
${getMutableMethod}().addAll(other.${field});
#end

If I type "isR", the IDE will autocomplete isRepeated. If I type "isFoo", it will tell me that method doesn't exist.

I'm pretty sure your IDE is not going to autocomplete anything in that named() invocation or warn you if it doesn't exist, unless there is some IDE plugin I don't know about.

Most of the "type safety" you get with JavaPoet is just the DSL itself. Sure, I can't call "addMehod" instead of "addMethod", but a template makes that call entirely disappear.

You don't get any type safety over something like beginControlFlow("if (foo") . It doesn't know that's a unterminated fragment that's going to break.

So I think the type safety is a bit of an illusion. You think it's okay because the DSL typechecks.

There are just tons of variations

Our proprietary serialization has lots of variations but JavaPoet wasn't better at dealing with it. We support 20+ field types, and it has extensible support for more (that doesn't involve just adding another if-statement).

Maybe all of that can be added on top of templates, but the boiler plate for it might be more than my whole generation code.

JavaPoet might be larger than your generation code. I'm not advocating that everyone rolls their own Java Velocity addon, though that is what I did. I'm saying the DSL approach they took was wrong, which was an opinion I came to after using JavaPoet for a while, then rolling my own Velocity addon and migrating a large framework to it.
