Pretty sure nvme because of the single slit, think there are possibly specific cases where this isn't true. I would say nvme.

Looks a bit like a common pleco, could be wrong but the fins give me that idea. If it is, prepare for it to get big!

I'm really sorry for your loss. You appear to have given Fredrick a great life, It's really hard to lose a fish you are so close with. It sounds like you really did the best for Fredrick and hopefully you can reunite with another fish in the same way another day. They are fantastic pets and can understand emotions, which can be unexpected at times. Swim in peace.

It looks more like natural colouration, I have a bristlenose with the same pattern that took a while to appear.

Thats a big ol Oscar, gonna need a pretty large tank and some beefy filtration. Drop me a message if you need some more info on how to keep it.

xTang

Pretty sure male due to the anal fin being longer not triangle.

Looks to me like a fahaka puffer.

I think these get massive and require 130l tanks and mangrove roots to flourish.

I would google some pics of them :)

Looks like an Ancistrus/bristlenose pleco of some sort. Eats algae and veg mostly, shouldn't grow too large but probably a good few inches.

xTang

Water temp risen by 3 or so degrees, most swimming around now. Thanks again for the reassurance.

Thank you. I panicked because my oscar didn't greet me when he normally always does. They are sluggish but had a few bits to eat, just gonna keep an eye on them. Appreciate the response, has calmed me down a bit!

Ok thanks, good to know, might stick in a male betta. And good companions? Shrimp perhaps or will he be happy on his todd?

xTang

Thanks! I was thinking along the lines of pygmy cories if I do go for fish, I'll have to look into the others. Betta wise, would it be enough space for a single male or is that too small?

xTang

I have no clue how they got in there? Hitchhiking on veg or something maybe?

xTang

Thanks! Often throw in a courgette and had plenty of wood also.

xTang

Thanks, this was a bit of time ago, have upped the feeding!

Ember or endler guppies don't grow too large, 2-2.5cm. Maybe dwarf Congo frogs but worth researching them.

Snakehead, will grow pretty large and eat anything that will fit in its mouth.
