i could see them drafting sadiq but why move up to #9 - in this mock i only see baltimore, minnesota and carolina as potential teams that would take sadiq ahead of the eagle's current spot. he'd be a great fit in philly...but not at this price.

maybe - and a lot rides on kelce. i think they do need offensive playmakers to help mahomes out and love / tate / tyson would be a more conventional fit. if kelce goes, maybe they move for sadiq however they could still go love / tate / tyson in the first and klare / stowers in the 2nd (which probably balances their offense out best).

Yeah I agree a jump up to 9 seems like an overreaction from the combine earliest I think he goes is maybe to the buccaneers at 15? No need to jump up to 9.

i didn't realize andrews was resigned and thought he'd be gone. that all said, isn't everyone else (such as isaiah likely) an unrestricted free agent? assuming that is true, and given jackson's 2026 cap hit, they'll probably need to draft a TE and possibly andrew's future replacement.
they do need pass rush help and while sadiq might fit, they could (should) look later at stowers / klare and use the 1st to help the defense (which closing the circle on this comment means that sadiq probably wouldn't be a target by the raven's in the first and all the more reason for the eagles not to make the deal noted in this mock).

Idk why I see so many mocks of the Jets going DT at 16. We just traded for Sweat who is 24, we have Briggs who is 24 and Philips is a vet… it’s a deep DT draft and we can likely get another guy in the 4th or later.
In this scenario, you’re telling me we’re going to address DT again with Thienerman, Allen and Boston still on the board? Na. Even a trade down would be better. We could even go with Lomu and convert him to Guard as he’s projected to do anyway. He’s a lot like AVT in his versatility.

Howie isn’t trading a first next year to get a TE. He’s actually never drafted a TE first round. He could do it this year but only if Sadiq falls, and he’s not trading that much for one. Philly has a lot of needs and is soon going to need to get much cheaper and younger on offense as he starts paying the young defense.

For me, if the board fell like this, I’d take Freeling 12 and EMW 20. I have Freeling OT1 and I think he has everything you want in a left tackle. I know it won’t be popular with Dallas fans, but they have terrible tackles and this class could be a good opportunity to steal a good one,
