If you're an FBS level kicker, you're a 5 star.
It's basically a "Let's make everyone feel great so they will keep paying for my camps" grade scale.

I feel like kickers are probably easier to objectively grade right? Im sure there is a set standard of if you can do X, Y, and Z then we are just gonna grade you a 5 star.

They're still ranked so you can get a good idea of the caliber of kicker you're getting (Ex: He's #8 nationally). It's just the scale they use for star ratings is ridiculous when compared to the normal rating scale.
The top 40 kickers are 5 stars, then kickers 41-100+ are given 4.5 stars as "Preferred Walk-On" tier.

The camps are great. The rating scale is silly. You've got ~40 five stars then ~80 four and a half stars, and so on and so forth. You have only 20 three stars at the tail end of their listed players (which looks like a little over 400).

A 5-star kicker(or long snapper) is like a 5-star Amazon review.
Maybe it’s legit, but someone probably spent some money to get it there.

Texas has a scholarship commit for both their long snapper(#2) and Kicker(#15) in the 2022 class. A&M has a scholarship Kicker(#8), but unfortunately for you Texas A&M's Long Snapper(#1 overall by Khol's kicking camp) is a Preferred Walk On.
