Just zeroing everything is too easy even on hardest difficulty, so I played it like a James Bond/ metal gear solid, covert agent where 12 hours later all the gonks wake up, entire base looted, data wiped from computers, all the cameras are down and with no explanation as to how they all took a nap.

Im going stealth pistols and knifes/blades with sandvistan

If they didn't want us to go quiet, they wouldn't have silencer pistol mods.

It's my 13th playthrough, and i'm using 2 pistols

Pistols are straight up the weapon type with the most options for the player, and netrunning has the most interactive mechanics. It makes sense that a player would use that.

Not even counting uniques, there are 12 pistols and 5 revolvers a player might realistically use during a playthrough, whereas there are only 14 Smgs/assault rifles, with three of the SMGs being reskins of eachothers.

The fact that pistols share their perk pool with rifles makes the disparity even more pronounced. There are an additional 6 non-unique rifles to be had.

Is netrunning that tempting? I have the same issue in Skyrim, I just can’t avoid my favorite playstyle of face tank everything and wail on the enemy till they die

Knives. Always throwing Knives. Atleast I am also playing dual pistol know (cause it's kinda fun and also in the Coolness Tree).

I’ve tried on 4 separate occasions to play this style and I just get… so bored by level 15-20. Nothing ever fights back. Nothing hits quite like a shotgun and a bright pink baseball bat if I’m honest

Stealth netrunner with Wakako's katana and the Blackwall cyberdeck 😏

I’ve got no idea what build to do, I’ve beaten it once as was just kind of a bit of everything I think. I remember having a katana, sniper rifle and being able to hack stuff.

Any suggestions would be great.

My two favorite builds to date:

Katana Netrunner that played like a Witcher build using hacks like Signs and the Launcher Arm like bombs.

A Shotgun & Gorilla Arms Sandy build that was very tanky and close quarters. Every combat was very involved and active.

The third I want to try is Mantis Blade Sandy build with stealth perks!

I did netrunner my first playthrough, it's fun but gets pretty boring. This time I'm doing a more in your face gorilla arms playthrough.

Been having fun with dual pistols but netrunning is calling out to me like the green goblin mask.

I tried doing the opposite for one playthrough. All strength and as loud as humanly possible. A tank with legs.

I would never get the full quest rewards because “I can’t help but think there was a better way to do that job.”

I’ve given net runner a serious try but I just can’t get into it. For me running in with pistols and shotguns is just so much fun.

Okay... I want to sell people on the most hilarious combo of things that I loved playing around with: Fists and Netrunning. The idea is to become a wall of meat and fury while debuffing your enemies to the point where they just become helpless until you take them apart.

No Gorilla Arms either. This is like just being a monk with a brain that can cripple their enemies from a distance. 20 Body and 20 Intelligence. Talking about Nerd Strength in this boyo! It's so much fun.

The rest of your points are completely up to you. I usually take 15 in Reflex for Air Dash because it's fun, and 20 into Tech for Esgeunner to become mad while I throw my enemies at one another.

With the dual weilding perks now, im finally doing a solo build. Dual weilding and explosives just running in like a mad man. A lot of fun after doing netrunner ninja, or netrunner ninja several times each lol

Dual Pistol (mainly) x Shotgun x LMG x Sandevistan. First time not using a Cyberdeck and its different and fun!

sandy silenced pistols and knives is the only way i ever play this game. i find hacking so boring. i get that its the unique part of the game, but its just not for me

Sandevistan, no stealth, Nue and Carnage for me… I can’t stay away.

I literally had a corpo stealth runner playthrough started and going and then 2.5 announced akimbo and cyberware customization

Im trying so hard to stick to my dualies and sandy but the cyberdeck keeps calling out to me...

I have never tried a netrunner build and wouldn't even know where to start. I've always wanted to but pointing the gun and pulling the trigger is way simpler

Me? I tried doing a Full Body build with the guts shotgun, gorilla arms and berserk- oh, i'm back to dicing people up with Byakko while time is stopped. Uh... let's try something else. Netrunner with monowire, y'know, this is actually kinda fun... hey, why does Overclock stop time- oh...

Thanks. I kinda felt guilty for not forcing it to be some katana ninja. Those "perfect builds" just ruined my perspective. Game is really easy if you only put a little thought on what you want to be... And that's all. Enjoy the story and vibe.

I always fall back on my personal classic:

Chromed-out edgerunner with knives/grappling for stealth, a modded Desert Eagle for going loud, and non-combat/device quickhacks exclusively for recon.

Now I get a second Desert Eagle! Because two is a bigger number than one.

katana (sandevistan), manthis blades (sandevistan), gorilla arms (berserk, the most op), those 3 are so fun

netrunner get's boring quickly, but it is just an opinion

on my next play: knives, it looks cool the mechanic

I was doing that exact build but respeced immediately to go all in with dual wielding Jackie's pistols

my favorite playstyle is a gun specialist that invests in body reflex and tech, takes all the gun perks to be able to use smgs rifles and shotguns while investing the tech tree for cyberware to become a tanky juggernaut.

however there are a lot of places in the game where you'll get yelled at or punished in some way for not being stealthy, stealth netrunner playstyle is a lot more rewarding in that sense.

My ass just said fuck it, I’m basically running a cod gun game build where whenever I find a better weapon I use it regardless if I’m specked into it or not

idk, I tried to play as netrunner, but game is just too easy then. There is like 0 challange

My last playthrough i broke the cycle and did a sandy with a kick in the door mentality. I had a blast(pun entend) Did the DFTR ending and wrapped it up. Now the new update dropped and my next run will be akimbo netrunner and im looking forward to it.

For me, it's always berserk+katana/chrome comp+LMGs4Dayz

It uses the chrome compressor. Some features: max armor, possibly max chrome if you pick up all the cyberware capacity shards, your pick of the best iconic cyberware, etc.

I’m having a blast. I found it at the beginning of my 3rd netrunner play through and immediately switched to it and I’m having so much fun. I like the change of pace.

I like doing net runner with pistols, but stealth is kind of a joke in my case. It’s more marching down the hallway while people puke and explode shooting the handful that manage to survive being hacked with an extremely large revolver.

🤣 I just started a new playthrough last night and feel so called out!

Netrunner is the easy mode for the game so I try to mix it up. Truly not disparaging, I enjoy it, too. It's just way easier in basically every regard except certain boss fights.

Honestly it's disappointing how accurate this is. I started doing a monowire run.... and I'm back to stealth netrunner

And here I am going full sandy and ninja sword mode , lol I couldn’t get into hacking stuff

I've recently discovered the full scope of netrunning on my latest playthrough and I fear I'll never go back.

It’s rough to change up man, I constantly do the stealth sandevistan and throwing knife build. It’s my bread and butter 😩
