suddenly hyper-aware that i don't live in a crystal digging region and there's gonna be a snowstorm tomorrow anyway. oh, the envy.
I live in NH and thought the same thing. Then my neighbor showed me his quartz cave on a piece of property he owns and he let me go in it and dig stuff out.
Can I be your guys neighbor?
Here's an old pic of the cave. https://imgur.com/gallery/zTQZb
Where do you live? I'm sure you can find some hunting spots.
Eastern Nebraska, the state is on sand.
At least there are some amazing fossil beds.
Southern MN. I know of some very nice ordovician fossil sites and have found fossils and calcite druzy in the limestone boulders along the river, plus a couple laker agates in the gravel down here if you raid the parking lots like i do.
For big muddy crystals i would probably have to drive up to thunder bay, so i have major shiny envy right now!
Ugh. Same.
I want to plan a crystal digging trip to an area about 2 hours from me, but winter storms have already moved in and it would now be too snowy. The summer its too hot.
Same
Same got 2 feet of snow trying to find a new rock digging place
Meanwhile, me: *shoves hand into dirt to dig out crystals, but instead just gets a dozen cuts*
I gasped
Where was this?
Generally, not specifically
How do you know where to start ?!
