Because that’s how announcements work?
HelpMeOverHere
Well, why don’t we wait for costings or a plan before saying “not really”.

Increased tax revenue addresses your concerns.

Where is this reporting, please?

Let’s look at one claim you made.
When did he last call himself a socialist?
Let’s be honest here when you talk about “own perspectives” and laughable statements.
Next, I’ll ask you to define “woke”. So I’ll give you time to be able to come up with a definition of the word “woke”.

How about waiting for the investigation to be done? As far I’ve seen reported, it was a branch issue that Shoebridge didn’t have any knowledge of.
I still think the greens are progressive and they offer a shit load of policies that would help the vast majority of Australians.
HelpMeOverHere
I’m left. I don’t consider the ruling Labor faction as left in any capacity.
Labor has been centre-right since forming government.
I can name a shit load of centrist policies they’ve introduced, and I can name some right wing policies and decisions they’ve made.
What I can’t name is a single “leftist” policy from Albanese and his government.
HelpMeOverHere
No. Best you can get is an interest rate rise while we ignore soaring corporate profits.

What’s wrong with the greens?
Which characteristics here are you saying they fit?
HelpMeOverHere
Jesus Christ. Made it almost two minutes until I couldn’t stomach his BS revisionist history (that was also ironically talking up immigration).
This man doesn’t know a fucking thing about Australian history beyond a racist surface level.
Faaaaark all the way off, Luke.

How does your assessment stack up to the fact that Labor’s government is less transparent, and has answered less FOI requests when compared to Morrison’s government?
https://publicintegrity.org.au/albanese-worse-than-morrison-transparency-jul2025/
Then trying to weaken the FOI system
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-09-03/labor-to-water-down-information-laws/105729886
And then Labor tried to further reduce access to FOI requests by trying to force costs on to requesters, and allowing the government to issue blanket refusals for “too hard” requests.
“The Labor government has dumped its controversial changes to the freedom of information request system, which would have imposed new fees and further reduced transparency, after admitting it had no pathway to passing the parliament.
But despite the major backdown, finance minister Katy Gallagher says the Albanese government is still committed to reforming the FoI system and is critical of public servants having to spend too much time responding to requests for government information and decision-making.”
I can feel the disdain and contempt that modern Labor have for us all the way over in WA.
Albanese literally ran on not* doing ANY of this,* just FYI. He promised more transparency, and has delivered exactly none.

I don’t know about a quote, but the context is that the state would be paying private hospitals (which have capacity) to treat public patients.

A warrant without even being accused, or under investigation? And the permission to “change” your data? You can’t ever see that being used maliciously?
I’m personally just going to keep voting for the party that tries to stop this in the first place.

Here are some examples of a compromised digital space.
The Labor and Liberal parties voted to pass the Surveillance Legislation Amendment (Identify and Disrupt) Bill 2020.
“Network activity warrants allow the AFP or ACIC to monitor online activity, without investigating or accusing a person of a crime. Account takeover warrants enable police to take over an account and change their data”
The greens voted against it.
The Telecommunications and Other Legislation Amendment (Assistance and Access) Act 2018 is an Australian law that gives law enforcement and intelligence agencies new powers to access encrypted communications
Voted in by Lib/Lab. Voted against by the greens.
Less internet spying, but still more authoritarianism.
“Legislation that went before the Senate last week wound up passing with the broad support of both Labor and the Coalition.”
What a shock. Voted against by the Greens

Way to generalise.
This act was condemned by the union, wasn’t it?

Isn’t this the state where ICE acts unimpeded and even killed somebody with no consequences?

lol. Can’t even get my name right.
That’s the attention to detail I’d expect from an anti-education far-right supporter.
Hey real quick. Do you trust the overwhelming majority of scientists that say climate change has been accelerated due to humans?
HelpMeOverHere
Brilliant rebuttal.
You genuinely going to deny they’re anti-science?
HelpMeOverHere
Except that they are far-right.
They think it’s wrong to teach consent, they are doing the whole anti-trans shtick, anti abortion, religion-first ideology etc, refuses or rejects sound science and empirical evidence.
The have totally abandoned what Menzies was all about. Menzies government had high taxes on the wealthy, which built the nation. Could you imagine modern Liberals doing that? No.
The modern day LNP is all about how much wealth they can extract from government coffers for their mates. They are no longer classic conservatives.
There is absolutely nothing substantial in there; just a bunch of incredibly vague allegations, none of which implicate Shoebridge.
So I think, again, it would be prudent to wait for the investigation to play out.
