Glock 49 Gen 6 Released.
What are your thoughts? Price is a bit steep. I know they had to pay extra import taxes or just more $ for these actual Glocks.

My academy must have had excess 49s earlier this year, bought one on a sale for 550, crazy thing is a month later I went back and the 49s were on an even better sale for 499 😮💨

Just get a 19.6 and 17.6 for $200 more and you get 4 gun orientations. You get the 19.6 and 17.6, swap the slides boom you got the 45.6 and 49.6… no brainer over this over priced crap. If it was a COA then it would be worth 929. Not as a stand alone Glock with no optic attached/ included.

Oh true sorry I couldn't sense the sarcasm 😂 . I actually might get a 17 so I can make a 45 and 49. Still have a GSSF coupon to use if I can find a blue label glock in my area in stock. They're being banned Oct 1. I have a couple of guns on consignment so I'll use that money towards the 17.

I got to feel a 45 at Cabela's the other day, tried so hard to avoid it but that new grip fixes everything I didn't love about the older gens, I'll probably get a 45 a 48 when they release

Glock already tried the G49 in the United States and it failed miserably.
Why?
Because anybody who wanted a full size slide on a midsize frame chopped the grip on a cheap police trade in G17, G22, G31, G21, G20 over the last 25 years 😂

No , because timing could not have been worse with all the 'new' model releases / old discontinations and knowledge of the soon to be gen 6 release . For those who just want one glock it's a viable option . All it really is , is a g19+1/2'' / or a 17 with a smaller hand grip that takes 15 &17 mags

The G49 was discontinued long before any discussion of any other models being discontinued. It was a complete failure.

They have it re-released it for the United States market. This is just Wacky Lenny doing an import.
If somebody wanted a G49 at a "normal" price, there are still online dealers who have the Gen5 version in stock (I played with a Gen 6 frame and actually prefer the Gen 5 feel over it).

You're right there - It's way overpriced , it's actually a 19 in reality. I have the 49.6 and prefer the ergos of the Gen 6 . At the end of the day it's a Glock and it's going to prob end up in the US shortly anyway , there seems to possibly be a small market for it !

I’d never pay 929 for this gun just to have the numbers 49 engraved on the slide when you can buy a 19.6 and 17.6 and just swap the slides around and have a 45.6 and 49.6…… for not much more in terms of cost you get 4 guns…
