Worlds highest TV

No space in the kitchen for a TV? Put it next to the ceiling!! Nice house though.

Also TV too far away. Money doesn’t buy good taste apparently.

Ceiling TV enters the chat

That's not a TV, that's the arrivals and departures board. Or the screen in spoons that tells you when your order is ready.

That aside, perfect location for people who don't like the seaside and the risk of coastal erosion.

“Priced to reflect the modernisation required”? What needs modernising? If anything this beautiful 1920s house looks like it’s already been a bit too modernised

[deleted]

It's not the 1920's though, so yes there is quite a bit of work needed for modern living. There are ways of doing it sympathetically, but that does need some work to get rid of the tweeness, although a lot of that can be accomplished with the right furniture.

[deleted]

But that’s my point, there’s pretty much no indication from the inside that it’s a 1920s house because it’s already been modernised. I genuinely can’t see anything that needs to be updated for modern living, a lot of the house looks like it was done in the past decade

[deleted]

Fair enough, there's a real 80's vibe with the bathrooms and kitchen that needs addressed, the rest is furniture and decoration.

[deleted]

Yeah, it doesn’t seem like it’s enough work to suggest it’s a big discount to me really, for a house worth that much anyway, judging by how much work some of them on here need to be somewhat habitable (although I could be wrong). It’s normal for houses to be a bit cheaper if you’re going to have to replace bathrooms, but I’m not sure new bathroom money makes that much difference to a £1,750,000 house! Presumably pocket change if you’ve got that deposit lying around

Just sales talk probably :)

More spotlights, install shiny marble floors and paint everything grey or white?

[deleted]

Hate shiny floors, nothing wrong with a little grey, and not too many spots.

"I don't like that bare space up there."

"What?"

"Up there." *points* "It needs something."

"You could put a clock."

"No. I have a better idea."

Pic 22/23 - You’d need binoculars to see the TV from the bed.

GubmintTroll

Yeah, that’s a stupidly large bedroom

MrTimofTim

What happens if you lose the remote and need to turn it off? Nightmare.

Gingerishidiot

You need some neck just to consider it

Paracosm26

No problem if you keep a pet giraffe.

davinist

All that space. "Can we squeeze a desk in under the stairs?"

herefromthere

Scary stairs, too many spotlights, and someone who had a desperate NEED to have a television in a room with no sensible place to put the damn thing.

Additional-Nobody352

It's like a departure board at a train station

If it was my house I’d probably make the sacrifice of a too high tv

[deleted]

Lovely gaff but imagine the gas and leccy bills in the winter 😫

blackcurrantcat

All that space and they have nowhere to put their suitcases away?

BeaBeaintheSun

Oh wow. That took me three goes to even spot it is that high!

moodyfloss

The gate house is the beige/grey thing at the end of the drive, right? So all that house and garden and space, and there’s still a neighbour in your backyard?

Complex_Hat_7

The bed in pic 42 looks like a massive chocolate bar

orange_lighthouse

The furniture screams staged to me.

So... No one has an issue with the silver doors?
