Actually because there are only 5 races left and george only has 3 wins, kimi only needs to get 2 points to win. If george wins every race and kimi gets 2 points they will be equal on points but kimi will have 9 wins to george's 8 wins so kimi will win on countback.

suzuka, max won bec chuck got a penalty at the for cutting the last chicane on the last lap. while battling Perez. he got the penalty after the race while the podium drivers were in the cooldown room. they were confused bec everyone thought the race will gaet partial points bec it only had like 20ish laps.
the whole after race was a clusterfuck lmao such an anticlimactic end to an otherwise awesome first 2/3 of the season

Even if Kimi finishes outside the points in Mexico, Russel would need to be P1 just to keep the battle ongoing for another week ....... where he will have to finish P1 again and hope Kimi finishes outside the points again.
If Saudi and Qatar are not cancelled, Kimi can finish outside the points for every race and Russell will have to be P1 every race to beat Kimi to the WDC.
