That’s good research. I guarantee a company like that owns a stake in Ocean winds to diversify away from petrochemicals and into renewables. They want more wind and solar, not more oil. You’re right about it being a bribe. But I’m sure the company just sees the bribe as shutting them up for two years and virtue signaling about pulling oil and coal out of the Earth. And then when he’s gone, they’ll just resume as planned.

20 years from now will still probably be too soon. There will still be plenty of supporters around. A lot of people still think Reagan was basically a savior to America (though this is starting to crumble a bit). I'm hoping 20 years from now maybe we can see people realizing how destructive Reaganomics were, and 20 years after that the outright corruption of Trump will be openly taught in history classrooms.
