I spent the day working on adding piano accompaniment to Key & Peele's hilarious "My Best Friend" sketch. Here's what I came up with. :)

This is fantastic. Its a hail mary, but... paging /u/Jordan_Peele and /u/Keegan-Michael-Key from their AMAs.
I see you have a twitter - might be worth tweeting to them.

I'll give it a shot... tweet has been sent! EDIT: Direct link to the tweet is here, if anyone wants to RT it. :)

Gotta update on what happens OP. Lol
Side note. Awesome.
That is all.
lfthering [OP]
Will do. Thank you! Meanwhile, feel free to spread it around the 'net as well! :) Might increase the odds that K&P will see it.

I am here for update

Yes please link the tweet and I will retweet it. Especially enjoyed the intro lines and the modulation !

Tweeted both Key and Peele with a link from my twitter! RT away!

Surprised the singing in the sketch was set to such a consistent tempo.
You and that guy who plays the beat for conversations should team up.
lfthering [OP]
David Dockery! Yes. I would love that. That guy is fantastic. Also Mono Neon, while we're naming names.
BraveRutherford
Have to look mono up. Dockerys iasip skit is amazing.
lfthering [OP]
Oh definitely look him up. He gets microtonal to the max - supreme pitch accuracy.

Wow. That was awesome. The harmonies were great, and I loved your arrangement. I definitely wasn't expecting something this high quality. This could fit perfectly in a broadway show. The fact that it was all perfectly in tune and tempo says a lot. Keep it up!

You're pretty talented. I like your Joy to the World video, you illustrate syncopation pretty well which I otherwise kind of hard to understand.

Seriously. That was amazing, especially for coming in under 24 hours. The dynamics and pacing of the piece were on point. Catching that key jump and correctly modulating with him was really cool to hear! Serious skill here, and I imagine you've been at it a while.

This is both a really funny sketch (what a weirdly spelled word) and a really well done song. Well done sir!
lfthering [OP]
Thank you! Credit where credit is due to Jordan Peele - without such a solid melody/performance on his part it wouldn't have worked so well.
uProllyHaveHerpes2
I think he'll like what you've done!

Ya'll deserve it. ;)
UPDATE: Holy cats, thanks for the love (and gold), Reddit! Thanks also to those who are checking out some of my other work--your support means a lot!
I tweeted the video to K&P, so fingers crossed it reaches them!
UPDATE 2: Oh, also, for extra-interested music nerds, I finished typing up a note-for-note accurate sheet of this exact performance, which includes the voice (lyrics and all) AND piano part. PDF of the sheet music arrangement can be downloaded here!
Cheers!
