Some additional info regarding the 'I'm Eugeo the swordman. No family name'
In Underworld, only nobles and community leaders are given last names, everybody else basically only have first names. In Rulid village, only Alice's family, which is the village head's family, have the last name Zuberg. Last names are like the most powerful barrier that set commoners and nobles apart.
Eugeo was very conscious of this fact back at the academy. And those filthy rapists Humbert and Raios often brought it up to make fun of him as well. Like in every interaction with most characters we'd hear at least one 'I'm just a farmer's kid with no name' monologue from him.
To make it even more depressed, being the third son of a farmer, by the village's law Eugeo aren't even allowed to get married, since Rulid doesn't have lots of resource so population must be strictly managed. (Of course later we learn that this is also one of Administration's shitty 'rule' to control the population).
If Kirito didn't show up and both figuratively and literally released him from his duty, Eugeo would spend all of his life chirping away Gigas Cedar's life, alone, forever.
The anime, of course, ruled this detail 'unnecessary' to the plot and omitted it.

The farmer with the largest farmland in Rulid also has a last name, Walde was it? While not a noble it was beause of his importance to the town itself as the largest landowner.

Hmm, youre right, been a while since I last read the LN so may be I remember it wrong. So it seems like only 'important people' are given last names, including some commoners.
