Asuna: KIRITO IS MMMMIIIINNNNEEEE!!!!

Spyer2k

It was kind of annoying how she wasn't just saying her and Kirito are literally married.

Instead she says vague things like "he's mine" and gets into a dick measuring contest with the other girls when she's already in won

_johnning

Kirito and Asuna are the worst at drawing lines. They always lead people on about their “ambiguous” relationship

ho3eindp

Yeah, that's right. In season 2 Kirito introduced Asuna to Shinon as his friend. Wtf is wrong with this couple

StornZ

They're not married irl, only in Aincrad. It is annoying how they never say boyfriend or girlfriend though.

ho3eindp

Yeah, that was annoying. Like: Kirito-Kun, Asuna is more than just a friend, isn't she?

MigNuggets

I agree! She definitely said “then we dated for a year and a half” to clearly tease Alice, but she failed to mention what happened after that.

Their MARRIAGE

The ULTIMATE Tease

[deleted]

I agree. She could have just said “he’s my FIANCÉ” and ends everything ...

Isklar1993

I think to be fair, we have all come to terms with the AI being human, but to her, they are probably somewhat of an AI still and she probably doesn’t feel the need to explain

Jengoxfate

Yeah, I think your spot in here

It's funny how Kirito did not tell anyone about the real world but when Asuna came the spilled the beans in first 5 minutes

Ryuuji_Gremory

Well Kirito was trapped inside UW for reasons he didn't know and needed help to get out of there, so he probably didn't want to seem like he is some madman that is talking about delusions of some weird outside world.

Asuna on the other hand is there with a pretty clear goal, knows why she is there and how to get out, and she has logged in as the Goddess of Creation Stacia.

niowniough

You're probably right - knowing what situation you're in as well as having a reliable way to get out is the true difference here. Also she was given strength by default whereas Kirito was just as strong as any other AI at the beginning (his first UW run, no awareness of true identity)

Chronic_Media

While yes telling people the truth about the underworld and his world wouldn't help him leave, plus this information could easily overload their fluclights if they actually believe it.

Hell fluclights have overloaded over less, like people injured/realizing their going to die or extreme fear.

This is why the only person he talked to about his situation/world was the Cardinal & they had this conversation intentionally away from Eugeo, as the Cardinal made him take a bath.

(need to mention the Cardinal was already aware, somewhat of her reality, just not to the extent of Kirito)

Luckily Rath had safeguards like the Lost Children of Vecta, Gods, essentially a belief system so it wouldn't be easy to expose the truth.

They also don't understand what she means by "real world" the way Asuna is describing it. Thankfully and she also told them that people from her world implemented the Seal of the Right Eye.

If they can implement something they view as a curse, and also split the fucking earth like the 3rd coming of Christ and float from an Aoura in the sky.. They must be above the Gods of Creation.

So either they don't understand "real world" the way Asuna's describing it, or they're taking alot of what she says with some grain of salt.

EDIT: Removed one sentenced so the actual other points can be focused on.

Some-Gay-Korean

I think that was because the second time Kirito dived into Underworld, his memories weren't blocked. Unlike his first time, Kirito was just like the artificial Fluctlights, with no knowledge he was living in a virtual world. Since he knew that he was in a virtual world and deduced he was in the Underworld in the second dive, I guess he just played along how Rath intended.

diesal3

At this point in the story, I think that the commanders are already somewhat aware of the idea of there being another universe out there because of Alice's report of the demise of Administrator.

But regardless of that, Asuna was going to have to mention it anyways to spell out the graveness of the situation.

seitaer13

She kind of had to. Alice was aware of the outside world before this at least.

DragonPrayer

All the girls hanging up to take Kirito, was awesome seeing Alice INSTANTLY square up and attack Asuna

ddisaac02

Almost like when Asuna dueled Yuuki, awesome scene!

MigNuggets

What was even better was how much of a fight Asuna actually put up. You know GOOD and well Alice was shook deep down.

dark77638

Kirito and i were also did 16.5! Alice, what are you up to?

motleo95

“and we bought the same house again, bitch” lmao

Jay911

Asuna: It all started when I didn't know how to open my menu...

Simusar

"How do I eat you!?"

Toahpt

That reminds me, even though this is pretty severely off topic. I noticed another interesting consistency. Sugou is talking about how the NerveGear can scan your real life abilities and assign your base stats accordingly, and that goes back to episode 2 when Diabel tells the raid group "Apparently real life athletic ability translates into the game. Good to know!" They only really called back to the one guy, not to Diabel.

Aside the funny interactions between Asuna and Alice, the scene where Asuna finally sees Kirito's state is heartbreaking.

AlternateDimensionZ

I really hope they cover how Asuna tells the girls about Aincrad and shit, it'd be glorious.

BleedingUranium

A fun side effect of this would be Ronie learning where Kirito's "Aincrad Style" and unique multi-hit sword skills came from.

dark77638

SAO SuperAccount 01 The Goddess of Creation Stacia has officially descended into Underworld

  • Such an emotionally reunion between Asuna and Kirito

  • Perfect first impression: slash first, talk later aka SAO Alicization: War of Waifu

  • Royne and Tiese reaction to the fight is awesome,

  • Bercouli is the best. Man, it’s glorious

  • Asuna should hurl Alice into depth of the Earth for being rude. lol just kidding Alice’s our waifu!

  • “Strength and Tenderness” ost is perfectly inserted here. It’s my favortie

  • The guard’s SIGHHHHH is too straight and rude AF GOD DAMN ITTTT. Asuna should void them as an example that she still can use the power!

  • Harem party? Asuna doesnt seem like a Goddess here. All of em in pajamas are cute af sooooo manyyyyy waifuuuuu.

  • Sleep wear, no sleep theme!

Mystic_Arts

Asuna should hurl Alice into depth of the Earth for being rude.

I honestly had an image of a tiny hole opening up below Alice the entire episode 😂

Harem party? Asuna doesnt seem like a Goddess here. All of em in pajamas are cute af sooooo manyyyyy waifuuuuu.

Probably what I'm most excited about next episode. Just a massive story telling episode which will hopefully get a few reactions from kirito. Plus ya know. Alice and asuna fighting to take care of kirito 😂

kirito gets cold. asuna and Alice both stand up. cue death stare and cartoonish brawl. ronye puts a blanket over her senpai.

Chronic_Media

I'm a little disappointed that Asuna didn't take up the title of God since she's literally using a God account & kept trying to explain to them that all of them aren't in a real world.

That could've overloaded their fluclights, also calling yourself Stacia would've made it easier for everyone to really listen to what you're saying.

Tho it's fine just a small gripe, excellent episode.

EDIT: Plus the people at Wrath told her she was going to use the God Stacia account and for some reason that didn't really click when people kept asking if she was God Stacia.

MOMMAS HOME. AND SHE IS VERY VERY ANGRY

[deleted]

Son of a bitch I cried damn it that reunion my fucking heart it’s been YEARS FOR KIRITO AND SHE HAD TO SEE HIM FUCKING WRECKED 😭😭

BleedingUranium

Over two and a half years. Eight months longer than the entire time they spent trapped in Aincrad.

Ko2507

That hit me hard. Damn dude..

_johnning

Atleast the real world time is much shorter. Aircraft was real world time dilation

tahsinamio

For kirito it was real time in UW

Battkd93

When Alice drew her sword on Asuna, I paused it and screamed, "AW SHIT! ITS HAPPENING!!"

Arguably my favorite episode of the show.

Also, Asuna splitting the earth, getting a massive migraine from the pits of Hell, and just going, "Oh. So that's what they meant. Okay." And moving on with her day.

Alectriciti

Gosh, how quickly that fight initiated threw me off guard and it had me jumping in my seat with excitement.

Are we seriously having a girls talk in the very room where the guy in question is sleeping?! And not to mention we are in the middle of a war!! Lemme grab some popcorn (¬‿¬)

Ryuuji_Gremory

Well he is a vegetable right now (well technically he is in a minimal conscious state and not a vegetative state) so him listening to their conversation is probably not something they really worry about.

Mystic_Arts

Its probably something they'd want. Think about it. Recounting all their positive stories of him, all the people he cares about together in one room. That's sure to get a reaction.

Plus ya know. Both Alice and Asuna are there to mother him 😂

SometimesAccurate
Setesh57

Not much of a war going on with a crevasse to hell separates the two forces.

Phantom1100
ThetrueLaw

Asuna: You girls are his fighting partner, i'm in his family registry we're not on the same level

Spyer2k

For real just saying "I'm his wife" ends all argument

Vainter

Loved the interactions in this one.

PS They already like Kirito. Imagine when they hear from Asuna that Kirito has saved thousands of people in Aincrad, Asuna in Alfheim, caught some killers in GGO etc :P

itsjoho

So impressive how Asuna handled herself in the meeting with all the leaders. I would have had no idea what to say

AlternateDimensionZ

Wasn't she Vice Commander back in SAO? Even in Mother's Rosario she mentioned how she has a ''planning self'' that sort of took over when she was carefully planning boss fights. She has some experience as a strategist.

BleedingUranium

Yep, it was nice to see a bit of the old Vice-Commander back at work again.

Asuna logs on with the Stacia account, then denies being Stacia...

AlternateDimensionZ

Well, I don't think she sees herself as a Goddess.

Of course it's still a Super Account, and with a GM Weapon. But I like to think she wanted to take a more grounded approach.

seitaer13

Because she's not Stacia, Stacia doesn't exist.

diesal3

It's more like Stacia is the account avatar and Asuna is currently the one controlling it. That'd be why people recognise a being called Stacia, even though it's Asuna at the helm.

load 2 more replies →

stormyx22

well, she is the same as the people in the underworld. she just has some godly powers because of her account, but they all are actually real people and Asuna doesn't want to feel superior

ltgenspartan

Well, Asuna isn't one to flaunt really big things like that. She wants the Underworld to see her as an equal, not a superior, and she knows that they want to fight on their own a sense of pride and accomplishment

heyheyheyx4

ronie was absolutely cute this episode.

BleedingUranium

Absolutely, poor Ronie, but she's so damn adorable haha.

Remediesxx

Alice went ON SIGHT bruh. A clash between the main and side. Get well soon Kirito before one of the girls become yandere (more than Alice atleast).

ririchiya

The reunion was so heartbreaking. Kirito trying to say Asuna’s name... damn. And his helplessness.. I’m not sure what I would do if I’d see my boyfriend in this state, Asuna really felt like a strong leader this ep!

Renz-Miranda

This is why Asuna and only Asuna is our rightful waifu..

MOTHER'S ROSRRRRIIIIOOOOO!!!

[deleted]

Take my up vote you God da...

RoachIsCrying

another great episode, this coure keeps chugging out one great episode after another. They also played on the soundtracks from the Aincrad arc when Asuna and Kirito were together after Kirito met the fisherman. Also Sleepy Kirito

Redmon425

OMG YESSSS! This is what I have been waiting for!

I love how within minutes Asuna is able to put so many storylines together when Kirito has pretty much known nothing this whole time lol!

THE FREAKING ENDING! Kirito’s new harem fighting for him is so damn good. Wish the Ara Ara knight could have made an appearance as well!

BleedingUranium

I love how within minutes Asuna is able to put so many storylines together when Kirito has pretty much know nothing this whole time lol!

Both Asuna and Bercouli showed off amazing deduction skills this episode. Seeing characters use their smarts like that is part of why I love exposition/planning/etc type discussions.

  • Cute
  • Bunch of information
  • Cute again
BleedingUranium

My favourite kind of episode, honestly.

Cheese_Nut

The last 4 or 5 min of this episode,...THE GIRLS ARE JUST FLEXING OVER WHO WAS WITH HIM THE MOST AND THAT SHIT WAS LEGENDARY.( And has my boi Eugeo been cuck by Kirito or im i just tripping?)

Zehruku

Asuna really downplayed her importance in front of Alice. Being both wife in SAO and I think she was already Fiance before Kirito getting stuck in the underworld? Please correct me if I am wrong about that part.

But either way the way she made it sound like she was less important romantically than she really is. And Alice made it sound more important. It's definitely been nice and important but he has been comatose so it definitely has not been in a romantic way.

seitaer13

Neither of them treated their marriage in SAO as anything permanent after SAO, they don't even talk about it. It's the fandom that are hung up on them being married. They're not engaged either. In Japan they have what is called Couple's Rings, which are different than Promise rings. It's basically a ring saying you are boyfriend Girlfriend.

No matter what Asuna says, it's not going to matter until Kirito wakes up.

Poppintags6969

RIP all the girls surrounding him when he wakes up and sticks to Asuna

[deleted]

Absolutely phenomenal episode but they gotta stop doing those lines on the noses. They're making noses really wierd here with that one extra line.

RunningFromYou88

Best Episode yet of season! Love how women take the lead role in this episode and the womenesque fight for Kirito was pretty funny.

Esvald

Was that Golgorosso in the meeting?
Glad to see he is still alive and active.

dtape467

Liena as also there in a shot

Zaphkiell

This episode is what I needed to remind me how utterly precious and wholesome Asuna is. I’d love to see her and Alice have duel for fun too.

QueenSafiria

I'm a little disappointed Asuna didn't roleplay as Goddess for a bit, but I guess the honesty is appreciated.
I absolutely loved the camaraderie the group had at the end, knowing that meeting Kirito was a huge influence/impact on their lives. I guess he just has that kind of effect.
I hope they don't focus too much on "Kirito has a harem" though, because their friendship is super sweet.
Man, it really cracked me a bit when Kirito responded instantly to seeing Asuna, it just really shows how important she is to him, and really how much not seeing her for like 2 years has been such a painful separation. I'm not sure, but if you look closely when Asuna looks straight into Kirito's eyes, you see that some outlines are returning?

TheLostDovahkin

War of harem/waifu beginns

MicahVasu

Mega bruh moment Eugeo was not mentioned once even in this episode
Man broke the seal too come on

[deleted]

Yeah like others mentioned I wish Asuna played along for a bit, but it is an awkward situation to be someone you're really not

[deleted]

I always wondered...how would Alice react if Asuna said that she and Kirito had a child together....

Caydranth

The only good moment for me in this episode was how Asuna finally got to see Kirito again. Truly touching. Everything else...meh. Not so much.

Fight looked cool but was wayyyyy too short. And the whole "let's compare who spent the most time with Kirito" got on my nerves rather quickly. Though seeing Alice being annoyed by the things Asuna said really amused me. Poor girl.

alyn925

Pretty sure Alice just joined the clan.

alex48587

Who do you think the mole is?

GetDeletedM8YT

The really war has begun.

kevthegreat21

I’ve always loved how SAO conveyed emotion. But damn I definitely started balling when Kirito couldn’t help himself when he saw Asuna. I’m not crying, you’re crying.

JeremyDaBanana

There are so many people there who would want to protect this world and be friends with you all. That's right, just like Kirito.

The harem recruitment is going all according to plan.

DrewskyStomp

This episode was a bit hit/miss for me, although I've been absolutely loving the Alicization story so far. Firstly, Asuna getting screen time was fantastic, starting with her experiencing the side effects of the landscape alteration. Asuna being reunited with Kirito was certainly one of the best points in the episode, it was very emotional & articulated incredibly well, having Asuna see the state Kirito is in and breaking down, and Kirito finally showing emotion in the presence of Asuna and being with her. Alice *immediately* squaring up and attacking Asuna without hesitance was awesome, and their fight was epic, I wish it wasn't so short and there was more confrontation within that. I liked the way Asuna explained the scenario to the knights and what was happening, however I wish she acknowledged herself as Stacia to the people of that world more, in a way where she could explain that she is that being in their world currently, but it isn't quite that clear as they've been made to believe. It is cool to notice the stark difference between Asuna's approach and Gabriel's (Vecta) approach, Asuna being level with the humans/knights and operating with full transparency, while Gabriel is interested in continuing to manipulate and appear as the Dark God. I enjoyed Alice & Asuna's rivaly, both are obviously very skilled and capable/powerful, and have (in some way, perhaps not so transparently for Alice) a romantic interest in Kirito, which leads to some of the epic and comedic scenes in the episode. My issue with this episode is every other girl emerging from everywhere to be part of this harem that is interested in the protagonist. This is my absolute least favorite part of SAO, I was pretty happy with the Alicization story not being *too* bad with this, and having less of this than previous stories (imo), but seeing everyone into the protagonist just feels cringey to me - no offence if this is something enjoyable to anyone, but I find this simply deters the story and is kinda cringe to me. Ronie was unnecessary & extra to me all episode and took away from Alice/Asuna's rivalry, while I feel that Sortiliena already had her time and that story was well done and passed. Idk, to me, the concept of a bunch of girls being so into the main protagonist is just odd.
